Question Cost for 05 center stack upgrades?

Anyone priced out the cost to upgrade the center stack ( wood face plate, rocker switches, radio and climate control) to the new 05 stuff?

Why? The number of componets (non-command) is the same and they perform the exact same functions except for the indash CD. I don't believe they went to a new wiring technology or did they? Can't you just run the exsiting wires to the new updated switches and controls? I'm no expert on this and if I'm not making any sense don't hold it against me. I was actually interested in the cost of the new components.

Yes they did. Most versus db2 and these 2 don't talk to each other. Therefore you will need more than just the visible components. Steve explained that on here once. STF

That picture of the woman with the chunky legs and hips gyrating around is not something I enjoy looking at over breakfast! Uggh.

Not only the fibre optic, but while me and Steve were inside the 2005 car he noted that some of the connectors for copper wiring have changed as well. We took pictures for future investigation.

Your initial response seemed a bit smart assed, hence my initial response.

I've done quite a bit on this board to help others out, especially if I was familiar with the subject matter or post and saw the other person was not.

I was hoping someone remembered the title of the thread or remembered the exact post so it would be easy for them to post the link, or better yet the author of the thread saw my request.

I see you enclosed a link for the Philips bulbs in another thread about lighting I was asking about...thanks

RJC, the center stack no longer uses rocker switches, now they are push buttons.
