Way too many young people here with C classes. Now an old fart like me, I can understand (38), but what happened to 20-year-olds getting fun cars?

the reason i chose a c class was because the amount of money that i was about to spend on a honda prelude, integra type r, or a nissan sentra spec v, and thenafter putting stuff like an intake, headers, exhaust, hid, rims, and so on, i came to realize that i can take all that money and commute to school in a mercedes. Also i'm not into the whole import scene anymore, i'm not a ricer. I have frieds that have invest 10 or 12 grand into their car, and i'm like dam, with all that money you could be rollin in a bimmer or a benz like me.

I am a 23yrs old part-time student who currently driving a cheaper imports(03 G35 Coupe) with more than $15K mods on it. And I am trading it in and pick up my 05 C230SS tomorrow. I luv my G35, and I've got lots of compliments that I don't think I can get with my new C230. But the reason I am trading it in just becuz I don't want to turn any heads in school anymore

I just checked some of the other polls in the various classes I listed, granted results will be a bit skewed due to younger people being more active in the forums, but out of all the classes, this C-class post has the broadest distribution of owners. I'm amazed at the AMB poll I did where the vast majority were in in the 16-23 age group (also seen in the Cl/CLK group). Looks like a very wealthy younger generation, hope they don't get jaded with great cars by the time they get older.

It's funny, when I bought my car most people said, why did you buy an old man's car (I'm 33, which by some of the member's ages here, might actually get me classified as old man anyway ). I know that most of the responders of these polls are younger (more active in the forums) but it is still surprising to see so many MB drivers under 30. I think MB finally has kicked that stodgy image of their cars reserved for the select few (I personally am glad it shed that image).
