'05 Fog Lights
Also, are the foglights also used as the active cornering lights? Please enlighten me.
Thanks.

My MY03 manual on page 99 states pull out the exterior lamp switch to first stop for front fog lamps and pull out the exterior lamp switch to second stop for rear fog lamps. Could MB have made a change to the manual since MY03?
Yes the fog lamps are used as cornering lights when the vehicle is equipped with BIX and is NOT a SS version.
Thanks.
I will turn on the foglights when i get home tonight.
Off topic: it's been raining now for 4 days in Los Angeles, and man i miss cleaning my car.

I agree, it is more fun to drive in the rain now with the MB.
I was planning on going to the Rosebowl, but i'm taking the family to Disneyland that day.
BTW, did you guys know that there will also be a big car event at the rosebowl on that same weekend? i think it is sponsored by Toyota.

check out the registration sheet. nearly 200 cars so far! all euro, but hopefully we'll get more MB support out there than we've had in the past!

The reason I ask is because my wife always rides in auto-light mode....and she came home the other night, and I told her that her left fog was out. She was turning right into our driveway. Well a guy at work this morning, told her right was out but left was on. Then later she says another person told her that her left was out again, but right was on. If she goes to maunal mode, and pulls the knob, they both come on. Don't have the BIX package and it is a SS version.
I haven't had a chance to see if this happens when she turns. or if they still both come on in manual mode with your knob pull out a notch. I know I always use manual mode with the knob pulled out a notch, and last I checked, they were both working fine.
So my initial thought was that her knob as a short in it. But after reading these post...it sounds like it may be passive cornering but again..didn't think that was an option on my vehicle.
