c7 e-brake cover
i went to the dealer today to finalize some paperwork, and saw the new sl500. one of the things that caught my attention was the e-brake pedal matched the rest of the pedals in the car. they are very similar to the stainless ones in the c7 package, with the exception of the shape of the rubber. the ones on my c7 are round, and the ones on the sl500 are oval. i asked the parts guy if he could order the c7 e-brake cover, and he said there wasn't such a thing, so i ordered the one for the sl500. it was only $11.00. it fits perfectly. i don't know the part number, but it should be in on wednesday. this cover will really complete the pedals.

There was a post a short while back where this guy was selling a C230K and it had an E-Brake cover with oval rubber parts instead of circular ones (like you described). I guess you discovered where he got it from. =)
For $11, I'll be getting one ASAP!

i checked the fit before i ordered it, the parts guy took the one off of the sl500 and let me put it on. it is supposed to be in this afternoon, i will post part numbers and pics asap. (that is when i learn how to post pics.)
oh and here is an idea that may work for those that don't have the c7 pedals on the automatics. they may be able to order the entire sl500 pedal covers, and that way the e-brake cover would be identical. just food for thought for those that got early coupes with out the c7.

i would think you could use the complete sl500 pedal cover set. i believe all the cars use the same size pedals. you would have a matching set, because the sl500 has all of the pedals with oval shaped rubber dots. i have no idea what the price will be.

Looks great. I'll be making a trip to the dealer soon.
I would go for the complete SL pedal set, but alas, I have a manual. (Not that that's anything to be upset about, mind you.)

yes you remove the stock P.O.S. it takes 2 seconds to remove, and probably 10 seconds to install. it actually fits better than the stock one. probably because the stainless adds support.
