Mirror Removal

Just use an extra clear coat and nobody would be able to know from far away.
One of my C220 lenses got holed by a stone on the freeway, like it had a bullet hole in it! Ordered a replacement set from Taiwan for $50 - job done!
Thanks once again.
Loose connection? Something about replacing bulbs with LEDs?

Does anyone know this part number? or can you guide me to where i can find it??
its something like this: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...K%3AMEWAX%3AIT
Im going to try Beverly Hills MB at lunch, then home depot.
Thanks in advance for your help...

That little arm idea makes a great way of holding the mirrors open.
I actually only need to change the lens on the "housing"
So.. any idea what part number (driver's side) that would be?
I have a feeling if I looked at the lens itself, the part number would be there on the clear lens itself.
But I'm currently not in the states, and can't look at my car.
So if someone could look it up for me, I'll go look for it at parts.com or something
EDIT:
while browsing parts.com
I think I may have found the part...
But it's $92
I believe that's for the housing... what I really want is just the clear part where the blinkers shine through =/
I have a feeling I'm just going to take the cover off, smoke it, and put it back on since it wouldn't be noticeable at all. It's not noticeable unless I tell you where it is now anyways.

My issue is the motor, it was whacked so hard by someone coming the other way Im amazed the entire unit was smashed to pieces.
Ive stripped everything and called the local dealer they can supply a new motor for £55 (cheaper than a whole new mirror!).
I can see where its broken, but there's a central pin though the whole mechanism which wont budge.
Anyone done this before? I might zip down there to see what I get when they say "new motor" as Im hoping its more than just the motor, but the main section as well. Ive added a pic, essentially the broken motor is in the red square area and you can clearly see the break.
The pin that I cant remove is in the top red bars.
Im just hoping the replacement motor from Mercedes is the whole section.
That said, I wonder if the motor the dealer is talking about is the one that moves the actual glass - I removed that in minutes.
I bet this means a whole new housing

any ideas chaps

Sorry to bother you gentelman but i have a couple questions please, can i change the yellow mirror blinkers ( the're Led.? No clue) on my c230 2005 for another color led, and if posible where I can buy the led lights in purple color.
Thank you in advance people
Miguel

The trouble is that these blinker repeaters are sealed. I guess if you have the patience you could open them with a hot air gun & change the LEDS from orange/yellow to purple. Illegal in many places of course.
