I paid $25.3K for my 2004.5 at Laguna Niguel MB. Ask for John Maxwell. Good small dealership, less pressure that you will get at Fletcher or HOI. But for what you want I wouldn't pay more that $30K.

downtown la motors, got a s500 there, deal was kinda shotty, but after a lot of arguing (not negotiating) they us the price promised before. what happened was that we negotiated a price, then they went and flipped the price on us charging us 2k more, then we had to argue to get it back down.
this was for my parents car. btw, this was back in 2001.

Oct 05, fletcher jones, newport beach.. i went in alone about 3 weeks ago, wouldnt deal with me. called me a kid and wouldnt even bother to negotiate a price. hate that place.

south bay mercedes benz. same deal as fletcher jones. a little better, said if i bought today they'd negotiate.

W.I. simonson. (mbz santa monica) nicest people. Took the time to show me the car before i even asked about the price. And when i negotiated a price, they let me have it for a few bucks under invoice w/o price haggling. Ended up getting my 05 c230k ss from them.

Exactly, I know he wants a C320, I just wouldn't pay over 30K for it, doesn't mean they will sell it for anywhere near that price Besides, he didn't say what year, they had a brand new 2003 C320 for sale for like $32k, use a coupon and your close to $30K and it comes with 4 years free maintenance unlike a 2005.

thanks all,
i want a 2005 c320, i know what the invoice price is, according to consumer reports.

when i goto a dealer, whats the best way to deal with them, do i tell them i know what the invoice price is and say im not paying more than that plus whatever the option packages i want?

do i have any room to negociate if the car i want isnt in stock and they have to order it?

isnt the laguna dealership a huge one too, didnt they remodel few yrs ago, to be as big as the others

The best way to deal with them is to tell them money is no object and this is what I want. They will bend over backwards to help you. That many not be the way you want to go though since it's rare that MB's sell for invoice, that's too high. For my area they go for at least 1,200 below invoice and sometimes they hit 2-3K below invoice, timing is everything. Check carsdirect.com and if they won't beat it just buy from them, no salesmen, no finance manager, no hassle, just point & click your way to bliss. Still wouldn't pay $30K for that car, specially with no free maintenance, probably get the Jag X 3.0 or Audi A4 3.0, at least the have free maintenance.

also you may wanna consider the dealer you are going to be taking your car in for service too. some dealers wont give you a complimentary loaner car if you did not purchase the car from them.

If you want to drive down all the way to San Diego, I can give you the name of that dealership's "no-nonsense" get-what-you-want" at the lowest price salesman.
We bought a C320 2004.5 Sport Sedan for $31K out the door with FREE maintenance. A 2005 identical model would have cost us $38-39K without Free maintenance.

When you deal with salesmen, ask for the volume sales guy, not your standard "work-for-commission" salesman. He is more worried about pushing cars (numbers) out the door, for that end of the year Top #'s Salesman Mercedes Benz USA bonus, than trying to get $300 here and there selling on commission.
