Wow, I just proved a lot of people wrong!
Well, over at I-Club.com (Which is a Subaru Impreza site similar to MBWorld), they were having a discussion, most of it filled with false information and information by people who didn't know anything about MB's. Well, a guy in a Subaru Impreza WRX was bragging about how he beat a Brabus C-Class, although to us knowledgable MB owners, we know better than that. Crowbar, first of all, there is no such thing as a 430 AMG. There is an S430, CLK 430, E430, and a few others, NONE OF THEM ARE AMG's. They are just normal MB's with an AMG body kit, but they are NOT true AMG's. If you see a 430, it is not an AMG, just a normal MB with an AMG body kit. Next time you tell a lie, atleast get the name of the car right, and do not infringe upon the name of AMG, because if it were a true AMG, you would have not known what had happened. Sorry, but a panzified 225HP AWD Subaru is no match for a 350HP firebreathing Mercedes-Benz AMG. Nomatter how crappy the driver of the AMG was, there is no chance you, or any other Subaru for that matter could beat an AMG.
Chase Me, i'm sorry to you aswell, but there is no way your stock Subaru could beat a TRUE Brabus Mercedes-Benz. 95% of Brabus customers do not get any performance modifications whatsoever, they buy Body Kits, Wheels, etc. Chances are, if you see a MB with Brabus all over it, it's just a body kit. You most likely beat a 190HP C240, or a 215HP C320. You surely did not beat a real Brabus. A real Brabus C-Class has a 426hp 6.1L V8... a Subaru Impreza is not even half that. You beat a Mercedes-Benz C320/240 with a Brabus Body Kit and Wheels, you did not beat a true allout Brabus C-Class, which is nothing to be that proud about.
You do realize that it is NOT hard to make an engine sound loud, like all the riced up Honda's, and yes, even Subaru's.
Eric, a C32 AMG is not a 14 second car, rather it is a 13.0 second flat car, this is the time that Motortrend (Or Autoweek, forget which one it was) got when they tested it.
A Subaru Impreza SHOULD have beaten any Mercedes-Benz C-Class, EXCLUDING the C32 AMG.
I do have respect for Impreza drivers, as long as they don't turn their cars into ricers, and say they have beaten cars in which it is a virtually impossible act, such as a C32 AMG or a REAL Brabus C-Class. Don't get me wrong, Impreza's are nice cars though.
I agree, as a Benz owner, that the guy driving the Benz was a complete jerk, and please do not let the poor act that he did inflict on your views of all Mercedes-Benz owners in general. The guy acted as himself, not on behalf of the entire Mercedes-Benz community.

I just posted link over there of an SL spanking a wrx in the 1/4 mile. I can't belive those guys are posting that 80% of MB owners are ****s. They seem pretty simple minded.

DtS, I'am always amazed at how a non-English speaker is correct more often than an English speaker!
I know the WRXs are fast, but with a bunch of immature idiots driving them, Mercedes (or Volvo ) will be my choice. High speed impact in a WRX must be something akin to bursting an inflated paper bag.
I am perplexed by especially Subaru's and Nissan's tendency to put hugely powerful engines into their (IMHO) ugly, poor handling, and underdesigned (chassis-wise) cars. But, I guess they do lure a certain market segment that way.

LOL, renncpe from the forums here posted a link to a WRX vs. SL race, and the WRX got smoked. Not sure what engine was in the SL though.
