New 2005 C230 K Sedan Questions?
I just picked up the car and I have a few questions.
1.Is there an Ipod hookup that can be added to the car.
2. Can you switch the changer for one that plays MP3s.
3. Where is there a power hook up to Hardwire a V1 Radar.
4. Can you purchase a Sat Radio set up to install yourself.
Thanks for any help
Mike
Before the flames start I would suggest that you use the SEARCH feature available at the top of this page. The answers to the questions you pose have been previously and amply discussed.

Now would you care to explain to us what you mean with winter package? I know that in some countries you can specify different tires, equipment, packages, etc through MB but not over here. Please enlighten us.
Yes, and hook it up via Aux In for the 2005 radio. Search the forum for more info on what you need to do. You will not be able to control the iPod through the steering wheel controls and HU or see the output on the radio or dash display but you can still use the volume controls. If you want to do that, BMW makes a 325 with a radio that can control an iPod.
2. Can you switch the changer for one that plays MP3s.
Yes, and hook it up via Aux In for the 2005 radio. Search the forum for more info on what you need to do. You will not be able to control the changer through the steering wheel controls and HU or see the output on the radio or dash display but you can still use the volume controls.
3. Where is there a power hook up to Hardwire a V1 Radar.
Don't know much about radar detectors but I assume you want it near your dash. There's a small panel on the left side of the dashboard (you have to open the door to see it and you best not be driving when you do this). This panel comes off and there's a fuse box there that you can tap into using one of those tap in fuses you can get at an auto supply store. Use a meter to see which one suits you best (ignition on/off, etc).
4. Can you purchase a Sat Radio set up to install yourself.
Yes, and hook it up via Aux In for the 2005 radio. Search the forum for more info on what you need to do. You will not be able to control the Sat Radio you install yourself through the steering wheel controls or see the output on the radio or dash display but you can still use the volume controls. A good source for sat radio info is xmfan.com and siriusbackstage.com
USE THE SEARCH......
Scott

. Are they both yours or one is for your wife? I'd love to have the new vette for weekend fun. Scott
You see what happens when you get another forum moderator in a Vdub trying to learn the language of MB. Trying to translate the VW's cold weather package and thereby coming up with winter package for an MB. Its sooooooooo hard to learn a new language.

@ medriver99
Thanx for the clarification.

BTW, I have no idea what a winter package is either. It hardly gets cold here

I will try to add a picture.
Hope this works.
