stuck in snow

Hey, for those of you in the Northeastern US or Southern Ontario, you know what storm I'm talking about. Well, today, My C230k was stuck in the snow, and I have one quick question. After trying to dig it out, and I hit the accelorator, and my ESP was off. After the wheel doing a short spin, my engine just turned off! Like as if it's in standby mode again, all my dash lights were on...So I turned everything off, took the keys out, and restarted it, and everything was fine again. No error messages or anything. I was finally able to get the car out. So the engine suddenly losing power while in reverse gear...is that alright? The car is working fine now. Any help would be appreciated. thanks

If the wheels were spinning for a long time, the car may have thought the throttle was stuck, and over rode the input from the pedal. Then again, your car may be royally effed up.

It's never happened again, and the car is running perfectly fine right now. Fine on the highway, fine everywhere. No messages in my dash, and no malfunction lights are on...so there's no point. Dealer won't be able to reproduce the problem.
