are you talking of a constant tapping noise? you may have already seen this but it may be the purge valve that needs to be replaced... have you done that...

and when u say it does the same thing when the car was off, is it the normal ticking u hear from a car.. i have heard a ticking noise coming from cars immediately after htey ahve been turned off..not really sure what it is but it stops ina few mins... it's not a constant ticking....

Sounds like a cat - when you shut the engine off, it begins to cool down and its housing produces this tickling sound for quite a while as a result of a thermal contraction.

I have the same problem. that constant ticking noise coming from somewhere in front, when car start to move or even on highway. went to see dealer, and they said they have to take out whole front dash to see what the problem is.
how can you stop that noise when car is in motion? (panic button goes into key hole)
thanks.

oh, that's just the car's self-destruct feature. You must have activated it by accident. Just take it to the dealer and have them turn this feature off.

i'm not sure i understand... is that an alarm or something that you guys are hearing... i thought presseing the panic button sets the alarm off.. i have tried it just for fun and won't shut off till the key is in the ignition...

so carter when u pressed the panic button, the noise went away?? wonder what it was in the first place.....

It was probably a cricket under there that he scared away with the alarm.
