Front doors lost their THUMP sound :( ('02 C240)

Front doors lost their THUMP sound :( ('02 C240)
Mainly the driver's door. It had that characteristic MB thump sound when you shut it for the first month of ownership. Now it sounds like my Ford Cown Vic's door 
I assume something has just losened up. Anyone ever have their dealer "fix" something like this? The rear doors still sound cool when they shut

After cutting the roof off a C, the rest of your radical mods don't really cut the mustard.

We looked at a Lexus IS300. It's doors are super thin like other Toyotas, and sound like a metal trashcan lid closing
