C versus X-type (is all maintenance included with the Jaguar???)
thanks !
Yes, it's included. The X-type is a nice car and you can get some great lease deals on them compared to the C.
Do you suppose the great lease deals are because Jaguar is having trouble selling them? IMO, that's usually the case.

Yes it is. Most of the X-types I saw months ago are still on the dealers lots. Think about it. Have you really seen a lot of them on the road ?
NTSB just released crash data on X-Type that made the nat'l news last week. Crashworthiness not so good for X-type... rated one of the worst. But I wouldn't advocate buying (or not) based on whether you live through an accident. Just info to add to your other considerations.

For a laugh, check out the frontal collision results for the last generation Chrysler minivan. Zero points. HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!
However (unfortunately for some) they don't test Bubba-mobiles like pickups over there.
The safest sedan to date is the .......wait for it........ Renault Laguna, five stars. The C sedan rates 4 stars, also quite good. Later this month a pile of new test results will be published there. Apparently another car has just rated five stars.

Just test-drive the two back to back and tell me which one has more bounce to the ounce. The Jag is a heavy car - you need at least the 3.0 Litre engine, and then it's no comparison, what with the much higher price.
As far as the great lease deals go, I'm sure that "selling below plan" is not the only reasons that these are offered (although I'm sure it's the most used reason).
I don't know for sure if they are selling to plan, but I DO see a lot of them on the road. At least compared to the C Coupe or the Sedan for that matter.
I think you meant to say you have seen a lot of X-types at the SIDE of the road. Get what I mean ?
i'd also recommend the 3.0l version.
Talk about cheap leasing ads. My two closests dealers offered $279/mo and $299/mo in newspaper ads for the coupe. Personally I prefer to own unless it's some crazy lease where it's so cheap you can't go wrong.
A lease at $199 can be a bad deal if they require $20,000 down.
