How do I turn off my Daytime Lights
How do I turn off my Daytime Lights
I searched the forum couldent really find a clear explanation although i'm sure there probably is one. I have a 02 c240 and I hate the Daytime Running Lights on all the time. How can I cut them off. I don't have xenons if that makes a difference. From what I gather reading you guys post there is a switch somewhere.....?

I can't believe you guys are pulling JCarter's leg like this
What you need to do is warm the engine up for at least 5 minutes, pop the hood, go to the rear of your car and grope under the bumper until you find the exhaust pipe. Make sure you get a good grip on the exhaust pipe and your DRL's will automatically shut off.

Reminds me of that "Blondestar" link that somebody posted on here the other day.

You've been around long enough to know better. Its the DRL fluid; the non-reflective kind. Next thing we know you'll tell a newbie the secret of opening the rear sunroof panel on the Coupe.

And to stop that annoying seatbelt warning chime as you drive down the road, just pull the seatbelt across the seat and clasp it before you get in the car and just sit on it. After all, it's just another worthless piece of safety equipment that "the man" is trying to force on you to make you look like a nerd!

Well, I started my car and left it running for 5 minutes, and then grabbed the tailpipe and they went off. The fluid level for the turn signals was low, thanks for reminding me to check.
I think you guys should probably should turn this forum into an exclusive "mbworld in-crowd" only site. If anyone ask a question on here that more than one of you guys know the answer to it pretty much turns into flame central. I have never owned a European car before or any car near as nice as a Mercedes before and was just looking for a little help. Didn't mean to litter your forum with ignorant questions.
My bad

for the real answer.. : its in the screen ..scroll down to setting, then go to Lighting. choose "manual" (not constant) ... then you are set to go with no DRL's

In fact, just be glad that some people didn't actually come at you with this post:
or this one:
or even STFF (Search The F'in Forum). Instead, we made it as lighthearted as possible. So, I hope you continue to enjoy the forums. No reason to think there's an "MBWorld in-crowd", just the fact that there have been people on the boards that have been here for years. Just takes some time to really read through the forums, but as soon as you get through all the MOD/PROBLEM threads, you'll find that this board is Very informative. I actually didn't start posting very much until recently and I've been a member for almost a year. The only reason I didn't post much was because I was taking the time to search through all the possibilities on this forum.
When I had a question to ask about a particular subject that I wasn't quite getting a definitive answer for, I PM'ed the people that seemed to be the most knowledgable about the subject I was searching for, instead of starting a whole new thread! What this does is it prevents from "O.G." members from having to read a thread they've seen a billion times and it allows me to get information that I need without offending someone.
In essence, it's difficult not to bust on somebody (especially newbies) when they start a new thread that has been discussed because naturally, the more seasoned members who have gone through the searches almost feel cheated because somebody was just too lazy to search through the forums and "read".
I'm not saying you're like that, but I just want you to be aware of how this and any other forum is like.

Yeah Ditto on Drexapeal.
We put the answer in there, just goofing around. This thread could have been 5 pages with no answer, but we were having fun and trying to help. Now pull your skirt up and Give us some pics of your 230
