W203 vs W204 vs 05 BMW 3 series vs AUDI a4 styling which is best?

Let's try this again and lets see if we are allowed to have a civilized Body style comparison between the above model cars and our W203's
GUYS - If you had your choice which would you pick and why. Assume they all have the same engine lets say 225 hp each. Which car looks better and why would you get it. Just curious to see different tastes and how our benzos stack up against current designers and engineers in their propective companies in your opinion.

I think I'd still pick w203.... i know I'm a biased MB fan what can I say. LOL

Lol thread police are Ok with me know. I was very careful with the title of this one. I definitely agree with you that new W204 looks like a smash between an Acura RL and a honda accord. At least in the back. Mercedes just needs to keep making their car appear lower to the ground like they did with my new car. I think the 17's with the c32 amg kit was the way to go. The car now turns heads more than ever before. Bmw and audi always have that effect and that is why their styles are good too. Although I started to rethink that back part on the new 3 series yuck

i've turned many more heads with the c230k than i ever did with the 323i. even in the fairfield/westport/stamford area where MB's are a dime a dozen.

W203 wins this round hands down. W204 is disgustingly asian looking. The new 3 series is dull, and the new A4 isn't exactly new. Old car was clean looking and smart. New one is hey, look at my big fish mouth. Perhaps down the road it will grow on me, but for now its not.

W204 is gonna suck.

The W203 is a very good looking car, particularly the C32 and 2004.5 and up C230 SS and C320/C350 sport models with their lowered ride height and wider rear tires. I think the new 3-series is also good looking. Jury is still out on the new W204. I haven't seen enough of them yet to form an opinion. I don't think it (the W204) looks bad though.

If we're talking 4-door sedans then it will be the W204. However, I'll take the 3-series coupe over everything you've listed.

The W203 is a dated design. My choice of a “new” car wouldn’t include a 7 Year old design that has been replaced. The W203’s best days are behind it and is starting to get played-out, sorry.

The 204 is okay and I could live with the design. I just don’t like the High-Hoods and tall front bumper/grill area that EU pedestrian Safety regulations are forcing on European manufacturers. The new Audi A5 is the same. No longer will you see sloping hoods and narrow grill/bumper areas on future European cars.

The Audi A4 (I had a 98’) doesn’t do it for me.

Its a new Mercedes- and the newest design out of the 4... major style points and uniqueness for that. However, I really enjoy the ride and feel of the new 3 series- but based on wow and cool factor- W204 wins for me.

I despise the look of the BMW. Uglier than sin. I love the 203 and my old A4 B5 too....still, Mercedes has to win this one...

Haven't any experience with the new W204...obviously...

But between the W203, B7 A4, and Bimmer 3, I liked the Benz best for interior...it made the most sense. Exterior wise, I think the 203 looks great, and the new 3 ain't bad either (I'm not a bangle hater), but I don't think the A4 looks that good (with the RS4 widebody though...).

The new Bimmers just look.....out of proportion. They've tried to clean it up (the styling, numbers are way down and they now realize that the new look isn't attracting buyers)...I like the 6 series and the M5....all the rest look yuck.

Plus, I had so many problems with my new M3 that I got to take it back under the California Lemon Law. Tranny and computer glitches did not befit a $62,000 car.

I love the Audi RS4 above all, C55 second and the M3....well, when it ran, it ran WELL!!

There you go.

Love W203; Not Seen W204

It is hard to know what the new C-Class will be like, as I have not seen it in person. Based on pictures and the new S and CL, it should be very nice.

I am not a fan of the new 3 Series (or any of the newer Bangle jobs), but like the older ones. I think that BMW may have gove too far, and this whole concept will look dated very shortly. I think once they start to back off it a bit, it could be nice. I do think Bangle is very talented, though.

The Audi's front facia is THE UGLIEST THING I HAVE EVER SEEN ON A CAR. I do not understand the thinking behind that one.
