lnteresting US options

I looked at the ordering sheet at the dealer. I dont have the sheet near me , i will update once I see it again.

There seems to be no pano roof.
No tri zone climate control
No Advanced headlights.

Multimedia package was $2600
NAV,Sound Package combined great deal.

Sport price TBD

I ordered already, so I know that there is a Panoramic Sunroof option priced at $1000. Also, the P2 package includes the Bi-Xenon Headlights, and it is priced at $1350 for the C350, since the P1 package is standard on it.
Also, at my dealer the Multimedia Package was $2700.

The dealers seem to have all the prices for packages, but no base price on the car yet.

Bi-Xenon yes, but apparently it doesn't come with the intelligent lighting system (ILS) that automatically switch lighting modes when you turn corners, on country roads, etc. Also the pre-safe function and knee airbag is not making to US / Canada either.

Thanks.

I think its lame that Mercedes hasn't offered C-Class buyers what BMW has offered 3-series buyers in terms of technology. BMW offers as options lumbar support, comfort access (keyless go), active cruise control (distronic), and parktronic. I hear that Europe gets some of these options like parktronic and keyless go but the U.S. gets jipped. That seems so lame! It's a shame really because the new car looks and seems to be brilliant.

Probably will not make it to the US, for some idiotic reason, but in a video on mercedes-benz.com (not mbusa.com), click "The new C Class, the driving of" Then click on "The Twins" and watch the flash video. In it, you will see a shot of rear digital climate control. Looks like we get the odd LED wheels like my GL...

Based on what I see on the MBUSA C-Class minisite, the Panoramic roof option is only available on the Luxury models? Not that it really matters since I probably won't get too many options but why the hell are they being so weird with what you can get on which car, manual only for the C300, no big engine for the Luxury model, no pano roof on Sport models, etc. Why?

Agreed, incredibly lame. I understand that most C-Class buyers do not care about such options, but at the very least they should be available to order. I know Audi has some options that are available only when a customer orders a car, not for dealerships to just order for their inventory. First of all I don't understand why these companies wouldn't want to increase their potential revenue by offering more options to choose from? They still make these options for the rest of the world, so it shouldn't matter if a small number of Americans want them.

One more thing, I would encourage everyone to write MBUSA expressing this frustration with the options, they will never know what we want if we don't tell them. I would do so except I'm trying to get an internship with them so I think it might not be in my best interest writing a letter to tell them how to run their company

I watched those videos too, I thought they were pretty well done and showed a lot of good footage of the car. If you look closely though it looks like the actors are speaking English and the German is just dubbed. Do you know where the english version is?

The promos were shot in South Africa. They are speaking South African "English." Use an English speaking country when you enter Mercedes-Benz.com.

I looked around, I can't find an English speaking country that has the W204 yet. I think only Germany has it so far.
