So I was at the local dealer today... they had a white, c300 with the Rims, P2, 7 speed, etc... Beautiful... loved the car.

I kinda wanted the Pano roof option (I have it on my black coupe now). Now, I realize they really wanted to sell me the car on the lot today... but in their attempt to talk me out of it... they said that the black glass pano roof would be ugly on the top of a pretty white car.

Any feelings? pictures? anyone with a white W204 and the pano roof? There was a silver E in on the lot with the pano roof... and it didn't look too bad. I can't keep my mind off it now... ugh~!

 

Well I have seen a white one with the pano roof and did not like it. In fact, I'm soon to be ordering a white one and never even considered the pano roof once I saw it.

It looks just fine on darker cars (palladium silver, steel gray, black), but I personally don't care for it on white. Just my opinion though.

 

Go to mercedes.de the german site and you can configure a white car with pano and see for yourself. You can turn 360 to see the car all round.

 

I ordered white w/ pano roof. Personally, I think it looks awesome and I wouldn't get the car any other way.

 

I was so excited about the steel gray but the artic white is pullinggggggg me .There is a video on the mercedesbenz.com site I think that you can actully see the white Cclass with pano roof and it looks sexyyyyyyyyyyyyyy.

 

Well I guess I'm going to be in the minority on this one. I guess I'm not ready for the whole pano roof thing yet and it definately is more noticeable on the white car than the darker cars. I just don't like the two-toned look.

From the first few replies here it appears most disagree. No biggie.

 

The new M3 comes with black carbon fiber roof std... the pano roof is no so bad after all.

Me too, and we own a white car without the Pano roof. I'm even considering getting the roof "wrapped" in black vinyl just to have the look of the Pano roof.

 

I hate to go against the grain here... they had a new E that was white with the pano roof... it was eh...

then we popped open the pano roof on a new C, and instead of the large glass tilted front 'lip' like on the old pano roof... this little mesh thing poked straight up.. I wish i'd taken a pic. It was so strange and awkward looking...

anywhooo... i drove home today in a white one w/o the pano roof... oh well. I get the feeling I'm still going to love this car just as much.

 

Let me rephrase. I don't care for the Pano roof itself, I like the black roof on a white car.

 

the mesh thing is to cut down on wind noise and the "booming" sound you get with sunroofs sometimes when opened.

 

White with Pano Roof is simply HOT it can't be had any other way. I am on my second W211 with white and pano roof and honestly it just looks fantastic with the all black roof and contrast of the white.

 

I hate white cars, but with the Pano roof, I love it. I probably wouldn't buy one for myself, but don't listen to the idiot dealer salespeople. They are certainly not the authority on taste. In fact they were using a white with Pano roof for lots of Mercedes advertising of the car, its a great combo.

 

Most C sport in brochures, video clips, premieres have pano on white.

 

That white is very nice...elegant but still shows off the aggressive lines of the Sport.

 

Pano on white looks great, imo!

 

I just ordered a white C350 with pano roof too.

I was not sure at first but found several pictures and videos on different sites which all look superb. Also found that you can build your car in all available color and option combinations on the french site of MB and then see your build from different angles.

 

Congrats on the order, it will be one beautiful car. In last month's Car magazine (the British one) it had a two page spread ad of a white C350 Sport. It was beautiful, you should take a look at it if you see it.

They have that car builder on many of the international sites. If you want an English one, go to the Austrailia site.

 

I can't believe they told you that BS! Why would MB make an 'ugly car'? They are totally wanting you to take it off the lot. Whether you like the color or not, make sure you get what you want. Don't listen to that nonsense.

I am getting black with pano I'm really excited, white looks fine with it. if anything it looks more techie, and a friend of mine confused it with a solar panel.
