Just picked up my C350, LOVE IT :-D Even without the 320 package
The C350 engine is a blast, the car handles quite well and feels completely poised on the road.
The hydro-mechanical tech MB is using (remember Koni FSD?) is simply amazing. The digital active system used in the AMG has a tendency to alienate you from the roadway because it's just SO DAMN effective at keeping the car level.
Conversely, the C350's suspension has a analog attached feel with the road, yet still manages to take it in an elegant stride. I'm genuinely impressed.
268 horses with that engine isn't too bad at all. Sure it isn't 300hp with 300lbs at 1200rpms, but most won't care, drive these 7 gears effectively and you won't care either.
The 18" AMG rims really do compliment the car's suspension, and the Contisport Contact 3's are quite impressive and very quiet.
Finally something good to sit next to daddy's monster, ha.

Gongrats, your car looks great! My review of the car is the same, only mine is the lowly 3.0 V6 228 hp, none the less it puts the same grin on my face every time I’m behind the wheel, and is intoxicating to drive. I see your car is plagued by the same problem as my car; I wash the car & wheels and within 20 miles worth of driving the wheels are gunmetal in color from all the brake dust.

Any requests for specifics angles or features?
By the way, the car is Obsidian Black, P2, 6 disk, 18".
I previously had an 05 A4 3.0 Ultrasport with sway bars, chip, exhaust and some aesthetic things. I've been out of touch with the MB world for quite some time.
Any starting points for starting to tweak with this car, without attacking the warranty too much.

check out Kleemann. Otherwise try removing the charcoal filters under the air filters on the engine. Secondly, I would suggest Kleemann's TCU (transmission control unit) tune to make the 7G shift faster.
I'm not too familiar on the 350 engine but check out the W211 E class forum, some of the guys their have some serious mods on their engines. Most of the performance mods are for the AMG's sadly.

Okay, here are some more pics you guys, 56K might have a problem. I LOVE the black maple. It's very well done and just fits perfectly. I thought i was sold on aluminum, but this rocks:

Congrats, the car is great. Btw, I think I've seen vids of your S65 on youtube. There are two videos: one with stock exhaust and one with a modded exhaust. I like the color on the S65, is that Flint Grey?

ZOORPA, you can tell if the new C-Class has full leather by looking at the door right under the wood panel. If there is a line of exposed sticting going across that means it has full leather.
