This poll question is skewed toward a lower aged demographic to begin with. This tells me the OP has a biased opinion to begin with (hmm, just a little age discrimination, perhaps?). With the top age bracket being "45+", he has just lumped the largest cross section of MB owners into one group. I believe the average age of MB owners is close to 50. That is going to be a little bit lower for the C class as a whole, but it will still be higher than BMW owners.
As for me, I just fit in the top bracket, at 45. I prefer the C to other classes because it fits in my garage better than an E or S.

Yes, so noted here, as well.
I'm 62...note the history below. In addition to these 15 MBs, there have been 40 other cars since I graduated high school in 1962. Just about every imported make is represented, except the Italians...lots of Audis, BMWs, VWs, Toyotas, Nissan....etc. Best domestic was a 1965 Corvair coupe, which with the right shocks and tires could run with Porsches of the time.
I'm personally pleased to see the younger demographic driving MBs - when I went shopping for my first one in 1968, [at age 23], it took awhile to get anybody at the dealership in SF to take me seriously. I may have set a record for their youngest new car customer in those days....not so unusual now.

By the way the poll was written, I'd assume you think that anyone 45 or older is rest home material. Although you did not state your age to start this whole thing, I'm guessing 20, give or take 2 years? My sons both think I'm an ancient old fart at 45.
The W203 forum, and just now, the W204 forum have shown me that alot of young enthusiastic kids buy their first MB and, being more internet savvy, end up on the C class forums.
Still, the average age of the W204 owners, as a whole and not just the forum posters, should end up being somewhere in the 45+ range. The young pups with MB's are the exceptions, not the rule.

You can guess why 35-45 age group. Older people have mid age crisis and good income, so very unlikely will choose C. S, E, SL are more adequate for those people. Young people value more power, so will choose BMW or Infiniti as cheaper and more powerful solution. Read BMW demographic poll and you will see majority of people under 35 own 3 series. Of course I do not want to offend any age of C class buyer, regardless if you are just 16 or 82. I found interesting a post in BMW forum about a boy helped his grandma to buy 335. She really liked this small and powerful car. So I'd be glad somebody at age 90 shopping for the new beautiful C class.
