I have a 2009 c350 +P2 on order MSRP MB USA.com $40425. That's a difference of almost $7000.
Will: The difference seems too big as there have been reports of 2009's selling at invoice. IMHO, the difference between 2008 and 2009 should not be $7k but about $4.7k ($3.5k in MB trunk money on 2008's + about $1.2k of invoice increase on the 2009 C350). As an aside, even 4.7k was more than I was willing to pay to gain the memory seat (which I'd have loved) and to lose the folding mirrors (which I need), so I decided to take the plunge and buy a brand-new 2008 for, shall we say, a very substantial discount below invoice (thanks, Orie!).

Don't forget 1-year depreciation when you compare 2008 and 2009.

You are of course correct -- but that will be an issue only if I get rid of the car in a few years. Instead, I am planning to keep it for a long time if it is reliable.

2011 BMW 335xi titanium silver.
I built my C300 4M with nav and iridium silver on the mercedes.ca website, the dealership gave me a whopping $1k off 48,290.00. Wait, I might get a pair of key chains and a cap Might be pushing it by asking for winter mats to be thrown in.

"Apparently" 2009 W204 allocations for Canada has decreased = apparent shortage of cars = pay retail or move on (someone else will buy the car anyways). There is an 'order bank' at some dealerships here in Ontario where people are waiting for their cars.

Happy to hear that some people got some deals on their cars.

I noticed that the C350 2008 model is a particularly good deal right now.

Especially if you were getting a C300 with auto anyway.

on carsdirect for my area a C300 sport with auto, only costs $2100 less than a C350. And the C350 has P1 package also, so effectively if you were thinking of buying a C300 with p1 and auto it would cost only $800 less than a C350 (which has those 2 things standard).

Apparently mercedes has figured out what kind of a deal they were giving too.

The MSRP for the c300 rose $500 for 2009 from 2008, but the C350 rose $1200.

So one would think a 2008 C350 bought now, would be an excellent buy.

That's because C350 includes P1. If you add P1 in C300, the price increase is the same.

When memory seats first appeared in 1985, the option cost was about $1300 and the steering column was not adjustable.

'09 c300 4matic p2, mm, ipod, $41,900.

A friend is trying to decide, $5k between 08 and 09.

This is without further negotiation.

08' C300 Sport (W204) w/P1, Pano Roof, chrome head & tail light frames, chrome door pocket inserts
Cool

I purchased my 2008 C-Class Sport model Sept 2007, Black on black w/P1, panoramic roof, automatic trans for $33,575 + tax. My intent was to replace my old Nissan Maxima with a new Nissan Maxima, but for the same price range, the prestige of a Benz was the obvious choice.

Ok, not new but I just bought a 2008 C300 Sport P1, MT Black/Black w/ 6800 miles for $26000 US.

I'm feeling pretty good about this as I've not seen a better deal in about 2 months of searching.

2009 C300 Sport 4matic
Iridium Silver
Black Leather
P1 / P2 Packages
Multimedia Package (Love the stereo)
Wood Trim
iPod Integration (dealer installed)

Total was $42,400.00 (9/1/08)

We got it prior to the $800.00 base price increase. At the time it was approx. invoice price. Car was on the lot, end of the month (8/08) so dealer was willing to deal.

Hi Maxy,

Correct me if I'm mistaken, but RRP is:

2009 220CDI Estate = $61993 +
Avantgarde = $6069
Comand APS with Linguatronic = $4163
Factory tint glass from b pillar back = $1070
Obsidian Black Metallic = $2023
--------------------------------------------
Total RRP = $75318 plus on-road cost

And you got driveaway price of AUD$74500, if so, that's an unbelievable deal you got.

Which dealer did you get it from?
