C200K Estate Sports Pack, Saab 900S, VW Golf
Australian C200K - just ordered for delivery next week.

C200K Estate sportspack
- Sunroof
- Tinting
- Boot tub

RRP: $72,576 including Dealer delivery, LCT, GST, Stampduty and every other tax known to man

Discounted: $67,300.

Happy with nearly 8% overall discount (inflated by the respective reduction in luxury car tax etc - think the pre-tax discount was about 6%), and very happy to be a "legitimate" member of this forum!

Thanks everyone for your contributions to this forum which helped enormously in my decision.

Bare bones 2008 C350. MSRP was $37,700 and I paid $30.5K. I did, however, also have them install the 18" AMG setup for an additional $1.5K so that brought the total deal to $32K. I know I paid more for the upgraded wheels and tires than MB charges if the car comes with them stock, but it also costs the dealer more to put them on than what it costs MB. I figure I got a car that would MSRP for almost $39K for $32K and I'm happy with that.

Below invoice

I paid 34K for a 2009 C300 Sport with the entertainment option and wood trim. MSRP was close to 38K, if I remember correctly.

C350 and a Lightning.
29k before tax and Lisc. new 2008, (bought 11/08) C350 with P2,Pano, ipod, blk/blk and had them throw in some MB racks. I tried to get them to do the 18" wheel swap but they wanted 1k and I didn't want to put any down. And, I got 1.9 %. I believe MSRP was 42k.

Are you sure of those numbers? That dealer must have been friggen desparate to make that deal. $13K off MSRP is a massive loss to them no matter what way you slice it. By chance did you let them rape you on some trade-in?

Yeah I'm sure. No trade-in, no money down. I believe they lost a little over 3k on the car. I went there with a number in my head and ready to walk. I fully intended to spend that same amount on a used 5 series, but couldn't pass up the deal. Besides my wife wanted the C.
I actually had him down to 28k on a C300! and when we somehow got to 29 on the 350, we were done. Then when my wife left the lot and pulled onto the freeway, a rock chipped her windshield. That was a bummer. But I fixed it and it has been a great little car.

Get out of here!! Really! I am paying $39,700 on an 09 C350 sports with MM, 18" wheels, and ipod, MSRP is $44,240. Picking up next week.

Am I getting ripped off? This is using the $2000 cash rebate MB has on the C350. Wow!

Well, I know the dealer I went to is the largest volume dealer on the west coast, and I did NOT get the MM package or the 18" wheels I so wanted, but I would suggest waiting untill December to buy an 09 because the 2010's will be on the lot and you should be able to work a deal on the 09.

2009 C300 Sport
New to the forum and so far it is full of tons of useful information. Thank you.

I haven't picked mine up yet, but I am an American living in Germay and bought a C300 Sport with everything to include the Panorama roof and AMG wheels for $33,000. Not sure how accurate the US site is, but I built my car there and it came out to $48,000. I got a huge discount and that price includes tax, title and tags. Actually I don't pay taxes, there is no title and tags are $30. Oh, and MB will ship it to the US for free in a few years. My boss wanted to trade in his 2008 built almost identical and they offered him more for his as a trade than what I paid for a brand new one.

The coolest part is going to be going to Stuttgart and picking it up from the factory.

You're not getting ripped off, although you might do a bit better if you look around or negotiate a little harder. You can't expect to get the deal that previous poster got. Not sure what prompted that dealer to lose $3K on a car unless may it was a loss leader and legal ramifications would attach had they not sold it for the ad price. They don't pay for those big, fancy buildings by giving cars away.

C300 4Matic with 18in AMG's
09 4Matic P1, P2, MM, Pano, Real Leather - got $7500 off (Euro Delivery discount plus), and I got the 1.9% financing with first two payments paid by MB which is good for another $1300 off.

US Gov workers get special deals on German cars if we live here. I didn't haggle the price or anything, it is all fixed and is as high or low as you make it. Only way I could get this price is by living here so when I found out I was being sent to Germany I knew I would buy a car I couldn't afford back in the US.

My "baby" is my Toyota FJ that is highly modified for true offroad performance, but that doesn't do well on small German roads so I ended up buying the MB sooner than I had expected I would.

Yes, I did get a great deal. It does make me feel better about my purchase, I have to admit. The C was not my first choice but my wife really liked it and she was going to be using it as her DD so, there you go.
But it has grown on me. It's a nice car.

No. I mean 29k before T&L. It was right around 33k out the door.

Hey guys, thinking of purchasing a new Merc sometime this month. I'm thinking of a 2009 C300 with P2. What deals are you guys getting on these?

Really? Are you for real?
Maybe you should try reading the 20something pages on this thread.

yes for real.

cars are VERY expensive in Singapore.

And the more expensive the car is, the larger the disparity

for example

a lambo gallardo in the US costs around 120k USD i believe

over here a brand new sells for over 610k USD

A new C63 sells for 250-260k USD.

This is because we have only one authorised dealer and so they get to command a premium. Furthermore, the government taxes cars alot.

If we buy diesels we have to pay EVEN more in tax instead of rebates like you guys over there. The diesel tax is scary.

It is 4 times the normal road tax.

Running up to couple of grand every year.

The road tax payable on a 1,600cc petrol car is $744 annually, whereas a 1,600cc Euro IV diesel car will cost drivers an extra $2,000 in special taxes, at a rate of $1.25 per cc.

Imagine a 3.0 L Turbo Diesel....
