Thinking about leaving IS350 for C350. Help!
Ok guys here's the deal. I have an 06 Lexus IS350 loaded except for Mark Levinson. Nav, BackupCamera, bluetooth and etc. Great car...awesome power, but not the tight handling/cabin I am looking for. I pay 557/mo for the IS with 1.5yrs left on the lease. I am dealing with a really cool dude over here at the White Plains Benz Dealer. He is trying to have the dealer buyout my car and get me into a C350 with everything but the Nav. So I can be even around 557 as well.

There are no lease specials at the present moment, so it may be a little difficult to get you down in that range on the C350...The 350 is a great car, much more sporty (IMO) than the IS350...my concern would be if they would be able to get you out of your lease.

I told him..don't come back to me if the numbers aren't close. Plus..sticker is 38k. The sticker on my lexus was 44k. He should be able to figure it out. HOPEFULLY. If not..f it then.

So, for 38K do you have everything you want in the 350? No MM?
I don't think they'll get you where you want to be, but it may be in the neighborhood. But are you really comparing apples to apples in the 350 vs. your IS...or maybe you just like the feel of the 350 so much you don't need any of the options...

I really like the styling/look/stance and tight feel of the C350. The IS350 is a great car too, but at 20k miles..it is starting to feel too loose for me. Small Rattles and etc..more than my Nissan 350z had..and that was on 20" wheels most of it's life. No MM. I don't really care, because I can always add one in later on. Why do you say I am comparing apples and oranges?

I would say adding leather, P2 and MM to the 350 would be closer to what your Lexus has in it, and would thus be a closer comparison when they get you lease rates.
Of course, all of that being said, some of those options don't mean much and you apparently like the feel of the car so it doesn't matter as long as you are getting what you want out of it. Neither P2 or MM really do much for the performance of the car itself, and you appear to care about that more than the other stuff.

The new MM systems is by far the best out of the new MB's and it has proven to be very popular. Also, probably by design, but I believe it may be difficult to get a lot of other Nav systems into the car itself.
I'm not trying to talk you into or out of something, just sharing some info for decision time.

Let me know what you end up finding out, I am in the same situation with my IS250 awd. I love the styling of the new C and can easily be swayed that direction. My IS is about 15 months old...

I have an 06 Lexus IS350 loaded except for Mark Levinson. Nav, BackupCamera, bluetooth and etc
Anyways, if you can get into a new C350 with options you're happy with the same money you're paying for the Lexus, I'd say go for it.

As for the loaded comment....I interpreted the OP to say the car does have Nav, bluetooth, etc. Maybe it was part of the "loaded except for...". In that case I'd take back my earlier comments and you are indeed apples to apples.

I had to make a similar decision. I just purchased the IS350 after considering the C Class. The interior and the power was so much better than the C Class, which were important to me.

Oh so you don't actually have the dealer telling you $557 on the lease? I misread.
Good luck on that. Check out the finance forum for the current MBF base rates. Nowhere near 557 unless you're paying a ton in cap cost reduction.

RandyG can you post pictures of your IS? Maybe a comparison?
