I have the pano roof and rear sun shade and don't have any issues with either. While it's not a solid fabric, it hardly lets any light through. I actually prefer it to the hard covers of the past and as others have mentioned, there wouldn't be a way for both to retract if that were the case.

 

You can have a tint shop put 5% tint on your roof glass. Or if you don't want any visibility at all, you can do a glossy black vinyl wrap on the roof only.
