well for 20 cents each, I would just throw them away and make new ones for that matter..Its gonna cost about 60 bucks to get the adapter and a 4 gig card, so you can waste alot of 20 cent dvd's before you'll ever spend as much as you will just getting the adaptor and ONE card..300 of them, to be exact!

In that case, why play around w/ an 8GB SDHC card? They make 120GB PCMCIA drives.

Is is possible to make playlists or organize by artist/album using this memory card method? If not, is it possible to copy all the songs from the memory card onto the car's hard drive and sort by artist/albums and make playlists?
I have an iPhone but it's going to be a hassle connecting my phone to the ipod kit every time I get in and out of the car.
Better yet, is it possible to copy music to the hard drive from the iphone/ipod?

Is is possible to make playlists or organize by artist/album using this memory card method? If not, is it possible to copy all the songs from the memory card onto the car's hard drive and sort by artist/albums and make playlists?

yes, agree as far as price. Memory card much faster access time. very quick. Can write, erase, over and onver again. Only have to copy mp3's to the card. I think I copied 120 songs and it took about 1.5 min to copy all of them.

Well, I dont have one of these card setups, but, I have worked with them for years. I assume if you set up folders on the card, via your computer, then you can put whatever songs you want in any specific folder, and that directory structure should hold up once you put it in the slot in the car..hopefully, someone here who is going to buy the setup will try it and let us know..

Hard drive, moving parts will sooner or later fail. not as fast, does not like cold weather. With the card you can leave it in the car no problem

Can not burn mp3's, wma or any other format that are on a cd either
However you can play mp3's, wma from either Cd or DVD . . .nice feature

It's kinda weird that it lets you copy from a music cd but won't let you copy mp3s from a cd. I guess i'm just going to go the memory card route and use the ipod kit only when i need to charge my iphone.

Correct, Cd Music (CDA) are those purchased. The MM package can also play mp3's or wma from cd or dvd but you can not copy those to the hard drive

Does anyone know if you can play .ogg files from either the CD/DVD or memory card? I was on an ogg kick a couple years ago and ripped a lot of my CD's to the 'superior' ogg format. j/k, I'm really not trying to start a format war!

I put the card in my MM and it is great, u can make almost like root folders like "hiphop" and then "techno" and inside thos folders you can make ur artist and in that ur cd and the tracks. very easy im wondering if i put a video on it if it would play? ill try it and get back to u guys.
