Now l'm waiting for the MBUSA $1500 gift card which is going to buy me the wood trimmed steering wheel, among other things.

I received a letter but no survey in my email. So you only get a gift if you fill out the survey about the dealership?

I got mine last week. I purchased my C300 at the end of October so I think it took about two months. Along with conglats letter, it includes $25 Saks gift card, owner's card, and leather id wallet. Too tiny but still happy to get it.

I think he means the MB Club gift card for $1,500. If you've been a Club member uninterrupted for 2 years then send them proof of your purchase of an eligible MB (the W204 is eligible), the Club sends you a gift card for $1,500 redeemable at any MB dealership for parts, service or accessories. Pretty good deal

They sell it from the Collection too, I think it's like $20.

As you can see, our American friends pay much less for their cars and get great gifts.

In Canada they overcharge us by $ 10,000.00 and they expect a gift from the customer.

I think after they made you a great deal there is no need for a gift. I am satisfied, but I can tell you that my wife really appreciates getting a gift. It creates much good will with her.

I don't think there is a similar standard here and we deal mostly with factory owned stores and they feel it is an honour for you that they even sell you one of their cars.

I find that over many years, I can say that purchasing a car from MB is the most unpleasant part of the MB ownership experience. Mostly, when I take delivery, the dealership is angry and I am angry driving away. Only when the purchase experience fades into the background, do I enjoy my car.

Yep - I also received my wallet and $25 Saks card 2 months after purchasing my S600 in September... As they say.... it is not the amount but the thought that counts.... Good on Benz!

I'll have to look later. If you are looking at the Collection on the website, it sucks, and I think it is incomplete. The print version had it I think.

I think the whole gift thing is strictly up to the dealer. I'm sure some dealers subscribed to the program and other didn't. I got a very nice leather wallet, leather calender/organizer, and an AMG key chain when I bought my C32 from MB of Westchester. But when I bought the S-Class from my local dealership, all I got was a chain.
