Pop the hood and look for hex screw, should be around 6 or so of them.

I believe that's for the W203. As for the W204, I can't seem to find any screws attached to the grille.

I'm planning to paint it. A normal body shop charges me about $75 and a better one is $250. I'm still thinking about it.

I haven't gotten to pop the hood on the new c yet, but on my ML there are two "pins" on top. You just follow the grill up and there are two support arms and the supports are attached by what looks like a rivet, but you just use a screw driver to pop the top up and it pulls out like a pin or tack. Then there are clips holding it to the bumper at the bottom, just push on the grill at the base back towards the engine and it pops right out. Be warned though, those "pins" at the top are kinda tricky and really flimsy, if you bust one you can always get new ones at the parts department.

I'm waiting to see if the AMG grill will fit the 300/350. It looks to be the same size opening, but the AMG grill is two pieces a top and bottom. I know the AMG has a different hood and fenders, so it might not fit, but looking at pictures looks close. That would solve the painting process as its glossy black with the chrome bars.

The fasteners for the C grille are inside. When I lifted the hood of a showroom car I could see that the horizontal fill panel between the radiator anf the grille must be removed for access. There are several twist releases to turn and then it should release upward, from the rear first. Then the bolts holding the grille in should be visible.

What do you mean, different hood and fenders? You are talking about the C63 , not the C Sport models. The $140 Sport grill conversion kit is a bolt-in.

Yeah I'm speaking of the grill on the AMG C63. It has a larger hood and fenders, the whole front clip from the doors forward is different then the 300/350. You can see by the pic it's two pieces so its hard to tell if its the same size or just an illusion due to the cut line.

Not sure if your into the Estates, but I think this looks kick A$$. Sorry if the pic isn't exactly on topic with this tread, but it does show another view of the grill.
