I guess that makes me a CHEAP DOUCHE BAG POSER.

It couldn't be that I like the balanced look of not having them on there. Or, that I do that to all of my cars because it just looks cleaner to me.

All this time and I had no idea that it real reason was because I am a CHEAP DOUCHE BAG POSER.

On behalf of all the other people who debadge their cars for the same reasons....thank you rb23lb for clearing that up for us!

My god my C300 might be mistaken for a C350 like yours! What a travesty!

I hardly believe that.

Why don't you spend your time doing something constructive rather than trolling forums spewing your negativity.

it IS a new car, it always wears off, he's not being negative but speaking the truth, it's also similiar to the feeling of NOT noticing a car as much but when u have one, it seems like everyone has one and they are every where.

I still got one cuz YES i think its a good looking car but i highly doubt the "car" actually gets you "tail" or "a$$" that some of you speak of, and if it does, they are probably highschoolers, gold diggers or idiots who u probably dont want to hang out with anyway

but hey if u need your car to think ur something in this world, all the best to u...

Amen to that!

I thought I was the ***** when I brought home my CL...then I saw a Bentley about a block down the road(driven by a 30 year old chick), a 360 Modena across the street at the Steakhouse, and several Murci's that troll the streets (lime green and orange crush). And this is Ashburn Virginia! I can relate to the pride you have for your ride but be realistic...you're a puppy(JimPap) in the big dog pen of autos...me included dude.

i agree, i like the clean look. i dont even like license plate frames with emblems and the make/model of the car. less is better IMO. isnt a poser a person who tries to pretend they are something they are not? im not sure why debading makes me a poser since im not trying to play my car off as anything. anyways.. i guess you can call me cheap since i did the debaging myself rather then taking it to shop.

Suggest that you spend less time interpreting and more time listening.

People who havent been to LA: S63's, E63's, CLS55's SL55's etc. are everywhere. Imagine how many regular MB we have!!! Ive been lucky enough to travel quite a deal and I have to say Ive never seen so many high priced cars in one place on a consistant basis. Also many women I know like the new C over the S....for themselves. Coming directly at you, the C sport looks like any 80k-100k benz...MB wanted to make money but the problem is some people who pay 80k+ are kinda over the same sausage different length thing...back in the day when I was a kid (I just turned 27) highline MB's were untouchable to me...now it seems everyone has an "expensive" MB.

I find that interesting as the new S class is one beautify work of art as well.

I wonder if it has to do with the C car being smaller and women generally perfer smaller cars.

See if they'll tell you why.

That of course has to be a personal decision.

The forum can be fun once you figure out that the negative people aren't owners and their sole purpose here is to make owners feel bad about their purchases. For all we know, they're in prison somewhere. (bet that gets a reaction)

As strange as it may sound, yes.

I have a friend that has something to do with computer systems that inmates use in the Federal Prison System. I don't think they're suppose to be on forums, but how close can you really watch them.

Well I am in LA so its probably a little different in comparison to some parts. Young girls talk cars quite a bit and since my friends and I do too, heres your answer according to what Ive heard here and there. Girls from 18-27 (the ones I hang out with or date) seem to like the C because it looks cute; some say expensive or classy. They figure a S550 is for a Dad or business man (remember this is just a test group of maybe 30 random LA girls mostly from UCLA/USC). BTW my sister has a white one and loves it. She says when she gets older (21 or so) she wants to move on to a CLK. That being said I think the new C is very uni-sex and maybe even more masculine then the previous model. If I were to be looking for a new car in its price range I would probably consider it as one of my top choices (w/ Sport pack.).

I'd like to know which Federal Prison allows inmates to have internet access

If they do have access ... certain websites can be blocked. They do it to their staff. I know this because I worked for the BOP for 7 years.

BTW, I always look at European cars of all years. They never get old to me. Actually some of the older ones get more appealing as time goes on. My '03 Passat got as many looks the day I sold it (modded though ) as the day I bought it.

I personally don't use my car to get chicks. I don't have to rely on it.

But my friend's call it "panty dropper red" heh.

I just dont want to attract the wrong type of girls. If you're looking for a different girl every weekend, then go ahead.
If you're trying to find a good girl, don't use your car. Keep it secretive at first if possible. At least that way you'll know she isnt just after $

Oh yeah...the "i pick up models in my car" is lame. stfu.

That said... I am getting a lot of attention and compliments from many people. I had my 05 230 for 3 years and even after 3, people still gave me compliments. and thumbs up Maybe it's the mars red.

The new c-class is a hot ride! Stop hating.

...and whats with the de-badging rants?

Who cares? It's not your car.

I debadged my 230 and 300 because it looks clean.

I also debadged my grand cherokee limited.

why? Because it looks clean.

Give it a rest. Jezus.

It always depends how clean you keep your ride.
I know people with 10 year old Benz C class E Class, but there ride is clean, sharp, and it always turns heads, it isnt the fastest, its not chromed out so when the sun hits it you cant help but stare and say "WTF is that?"
Its just clean, no rust, and some nice black 20's to match the nice clean black paint.

I think it all depends on the owner if the car will attract people or not, When dodge puts out a new sedan, or chrysler, or that didnt turn my head, it just made me throw up when i saw them, cause they are so damn ugly. Or when kids try to pimp out there dodge neons.

No matter what year your Benz, BMW, Audi is, the price, as long as you keep it clean, it will turn heads, and that is why European cars are more dominant than any others.
