"Looks" you are getting in your 2008 C
I've never bought into the "chick magnet" quality of a car, but I have to say that my white C300 has gotton more attention and looks from women than I could have ever possibly imagined.
My favorite was at the gas station when this very attractive women was climbing out of her car with her attention obviously on the C car. She was licking her lips, taking slow measured breaths, and twisting her body towards the car. .....Now that's what Mercedes needs to show in their ads.

Haha.. This is gonna sound outrageous, I am not gay nor against gay people for any matter, but I think the C is a "Gay magnet", too! Lol!
I was parked at a BofA lot to run to an ATM one night and while getting money, I saw this black IS 350 pull in.. The lovers got out and started just staring at the C.
From the time they arrived till they pulled out of the lot, damn, I ain't braggin', but I think the C must have given them a stiff neck or sumthin!
Just my 2 cents.

For the most part I've seen chicks crack their necks as I pass by, something I used to do when I saw them passing by. I just drove down to Maryland to visit my brother and on my way down I was passing by an older gentleman in a new corvette and he looked over and gave me a nod of approval. Last Sunday I did get one evil stare from this one chick as she was getting into her car, and trust me I don't know the chick.

Enjoy it while it lasts. It's just because it's new and not commonly seen in the wild. Soon as everybody's grandma is driving around in one like the W203 it'll just blend into the woodwork and nobody'll give it a second glance.

I agree with all of the above! I live in Miami and even though the streets are flooded with cars that are much more significant than the C, my Mars Red C350 seems to always be the center of attention! I drove to Orlando last weekend and the entire trip there, during, and back, all eyes on the C. I will enjoy it while it lasts ... however, I think that the red will always get "the look" even if at a lesser degree. As my best friend said to me "Dude, you are supposed to be single when you own this car!"

I do have to admit, even the construction guys that are working on my remodel have been checking my car out. Same thing happened when I got one of the first e90s in the area. But it faded quickly.
Like me, I think the styling of the w204 is attracting a lot of people that normally wouldn't have given a C class, or a mercedes, a second glance.
But soon enough they'll be common as dirt and the commotion will die down.

I have only seen three 2008 C's on the streets of Denver so far, the other day I saw a black Luxury C300 from a distance from the front and I thought it was a S-class. It was very striking and classy looking.

Im def. getting a lot of looks as well, pulling up to bars and restaurants from everyone, even just cruising i've had ppl ask me a lot of questions. Its great and its pretty wierd but its getting more attention than my cls550, lol, but that might be b/c im actually looking at other ppl n drivers to see what their reaction is so that i assure myself i bought the right car, lol.

I pay particular close attention to the new Honda Accord that's just come out. As long as the car is a new model, people won't recognize it and they'll turn their head to look.
Enjoy it while it lasts. Personally, I'd find it annoying to have everyone looking at myself or my car.

I see more new C in SF Bay. I could say that people are literally dieing when see this car. It is so beautiful and so standing apart from other cars. Any C car owner can date the most beautiful gal or handsome guy easily.

I double that. There was chick in me office who actually never noticed me . and now that she saw me in me car shes now like similing when ever she sees me. I would never go near her anyway!!! hahahaha

I haven't seen any Sport models on the roads up here yet, I think I've seen one person in a lux. I can't wait to get mine in Jan., hopefully not too many people buy them off the lot between now and then. The last two new vehicles I've purchased were either the first model year of a redesign or first model year all together. That's the best time to buy IMO.

BEcareful this care is also a wife taker. Everywhere I drive by I seen wife in expensive cars like bently. Also 745 bmw drop their jaw or get all wet from the look of the car or it maybe cause i look good too jejeje. I had many occasion where woemn just stare at me as i drive slow through the parking lot. So men out lock up your women at home cause this car is wife taker. People have even asked me now am i doctor. Everyone think your supper wealthy or some high stock broker. For me I always dress well when I drive my ride. The car will change your life. Its the closet thing to owning a ferari in the wow oo factor that you can get. The massive look grill of the C350 makes and women want you. It show the man behind the wheel has stlye and class and is most likly a doctor or plastic surgeon. Mine is in white with everytime I wash it i wax it to bring out shine. So guys i dont knwo if it a chick magnet or not this car but i get desirablke looks from woemn everywhere I drive. Even married ones look.

this is funny.. all these non-w204 owners debunk the wow-factor of the new C class, and yet...
they are all congregated in the w204 forum, reading these posts. so subconsciously, they are actually proving this very theory to be true.
i mean, hell.. i don't visit any sub-forum except for this one. and yet, here are these people claiming that the attention will subside, "w203 FTMFW w204FTMFL," etc etc etc... but in the end, they are the ones reading the posts related to a car that they do not own.
