***2008 New Mercedes Bens C350 4matic-Canadian buyers ***
Recently I have read a post suggesting that, because of the different wheel offset of the C350 4Matics compare with the C350 RWD, the 18" AMG wheels would not fit the C350 4Matic. I would be taking delivery of mine C350 4Matic in Feb. As yet I have to find out whether the above information is true or not, because I have placed an order for an extra set of four 18" AMG 5 spokes wheels. I don't want to be stucked with a set of wheels that I can't use. Have your 18" wheels arrived yet? If so, do they have a fitment problem? Would appreciate anyone who has information on this issue.

2) My 18" wheels Still on back order

The confusion was around whether the front-rear tyres were in a staggered step. And yes, the front are 225 and rear are 245 for both the RWD and 4Matic Sport models.
So far holding up well in the winter, put on some blizzaks, very quite ride even with winter tires on them.
Starting to see more C300/350's on the road now, compared to last mth.
For winter driving in Canada and looking at the loaded option list, it's more like a small S-Class than an entry luxury sedan.
I think MB Canada made a very wise decision, loading up the car with options and keeping the price the same makes for a great value in my book.
Another point is that MB had no mechanical problems when they introduced the brand new S-Class and again, talking to the service department, they have no problems with the C-Class.
It's a great car and it deserved to win the AJAX Award for best 2008 car. Can they improve that car? Yes, a little more wood than plastic on the dash area, folding down rear seat head rests, ventilation outlets in the B pillar, a solid cover under the panorama roof rather than the see through, just to
name a few.

This is going to be my first european car and also my first brand new car, I have owned a bunch of late model modified japanese cars but nothing close to brand new.
I am in the Richmand Hill/Vaughan area and I probably seen a couple of you already driving up and down hwy 7.
Hopefully this summer we can get a couple meets together, I have also been checking out mbfanatics.org and it looks like a nice local mb club.
not sure what dealership you order from.
I order C300 in July 2007 and got mine on Nov 29 2007. 4 months wait is not bad. I change to snow tires -Pirelli Sotto Zeros 225/445/17 and it run great in the snow. Just came back from Finger lake New York for vacation and run great on highway too.

I'm glad I found this post. I've been reading through this forum and trying to find out how much folks are saving in Canada. Man, it looks like the US folks are getting some really good deals. Unfortunately, it doesn't appear that Canadians are getting that good of a deal.
I've been visiting a few dealers in the GTA and just trying to get a sense of the deals I can get. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem like much. These must be selling like hot cakes.
I'm looking at the C350 4matic, with the premium package and metallic paint. I think the MSRP is $55.5K. I'm looking to lease the car for 36 months. Some have offered $500 or $1000 cash back. That seems to be the norm. I have heard that one dealer is offering to waive the "freight and PDI" charge of $1895. So I guess that would be a savings of $1900 that would be paid upon pickup of the vehicle.
Is this the best that can be had right now?
I see that Vcruiser scored a wicked deal of $3500, but that seems to be an exception due to his family hookup. Sou98 also looked to get a good deal with $2300 discount, plus some freebies thrown in.
Thoughts?

Where is Mr. Flaherty? heh heh.
If you see one in Iridium Silver then it should be mine. Make sure you hold it there for me and give me a ring.
When i ordered my car sooo long ago in Sept they said there could be no discounts on this car and I paid 100% MSRP.
Now been hearing so many people getting 1000.00-2500 off msrp
Last night a friend called me to tell me he ordered the same car and got 2500 off @ mb on yonge and steeles.
If they dont match it I am not picking up the car, but they dont care because there is a long line of people willing to take my car.
What should I do??

I know what you mean though. They know how in demand this car is, and if you don't want to pick it up, they can sell it to someone else. They probably know how bad you want it anyway.

Gotti that is the million dollar question. MB is funny that way. for sure they know that they have a hot product and if you dont want it someone else will. my suggestion is just take the car and enjoy it. are you financing or leasing or did you buy it right out. if you are financing or leasing the difference in terms of payment would not be anything you would notice. so why miss out on a great ride due to that. i hear where you are coming from and yes it does suck that you could not get any money off the msrp.
Bottom line is that there will always be someone who paid less for their car. To me, it's a good car and worth every penny I paid.
