Exclamation Spinned out of control on a turn at a light the Orange triangle came on it SaVESLIFE

At 5 am in the morning at a light stopped i was gonna make right turn. The light switch all i did was tap the pedal a little to move out fast all of the sudden car goes into a spin like a movie. I let go of gas felt like someone picked up my car from the sky when the flashing orange triangle came on and they straighten perfectly on the road. I was shooked some much power beware what under this hood is a beast with the touch of god from the sky. When you get in trouble. Lesson always take out slow while turning thank god no cars on other side of the lane . And to make it clear the road was clean I stopped to look, no oil or sand or rain dry rough asphalt pavement only. I think it just the power of the car.

Good benefit and good result to the OP. But, are we now entering the age when ESC becomes a nurse-maid for those that can't drive a rwd car? remember the 70's and early 80's porsche 911's (not that I owned one) where less than your full attention would cause the rear end to brake away, and all the doctors and lawyers driving around with dinged rear quarters? Well, at least a $5,000 body shop bill (in 80's money) would ensure a lesson well taught. ESC? nah, just making for bad drivers in many instances.

BZZT!!! WRONG!

While you may be able to handle a RWD car in bad weather, most people can't handle an AWD car, and no matter how well you drive, other people who can't will run into you. ESC in all cars saves you too!

Electronic aids just keep the bad drivers on the road. They give a false sense of security and causes people to drive faster and more aggressive that they should. As soon as something goes wrong, they have no clue how to save themselves.

Good car + bad driver = REALLY bad accident waiting to happen
(just hope that I am 3000mi away as well)

I say take it all away and make advance driving courses mandatory for everyone.

Thank you, Jesus.

That is exactly what I was thinking.
The origional poster goosed the throttle, got a bit shaken up, and now thanks the earth he owns a car that can bail him out of a situation he got himself into.

Some 100 posts down the road, it will be,
"How much will it cost to fix my bent wheel?"

: crazy:
For you to know i been driving since i been in pampers. Since a baby i used to hop in the car and start it , just didnt move anywhere cause i couldnt reach the pedal. I drive all day not just this little car . A loaded F-350 which hauls ***. Have practiced every scenerio of driving you can imagine from wet road. To fast maneuvering get aways. To reverse driving at high speeds. I do enjoy driving i Drive all day. I bless god im 3000 mile aways from you .I be careful of the one who drive from work to home. Their like robots point a to b. Those are the one who have less driving time on the city or highway and are more prone to accidents on the road when a situation happens. Thanks to people like me who drive their cars on safe driving range can share the thoughts with you and experience. So your normal A to b point driver has a clue of what the car can and can not do. So please dont talk if you have no clue about my driving skills. It not my first rear wheel drive car ok. I grew up in american car then move to jap now to European. Plus i live to drive .

2006 BMW 330i
With all due respect, my car right now, a 06 330i is equally as powerful as a C350 and I know from experience that it is not capable of spinning out on a dry surface. unless you have the wheel turned at almost 3/4 of the way and give the throttle about 70%-80% of the total power output, then you will not go into a spin. Please correct me if I'm wrong, but who in their right mind spins out a car in the middle of a stoplight? To see what happens? That behavior belongs at a racetrack. And as for questioning your driving skills, I sincerely believe that someone with respect for cars and their performance would not "try something out" in the middle of the street. Believe me I know about high performance vehicles. I have successfully graduated from the BMW M School, the Ferrari F430 Academy in Canada, and the Porsche Driving School. Please keep hot-******* on the track. We don't need any more bad drivers in Miami.
