AMG Avantgarde/AMG Sport Pack is not the same as AMG. To each his own.

 

If thats what helps you sleep at night. Not sure why Mercedes would put that badge on there. I have a feeling it was the dealership. Over here thats what they do to hype up the car and make the buyer feel special.

+1...my car has amg parts and a larger engine and it definately is NOT an AMG.

If it makes you happy to have it on there and you don't mind those who know looking at you funny then I say go for it, it is your car.

Still, I saw a S550 with an AMG badge on it the other day and had to wonder how insecure someone would have to be to drive an S Class and still feel the need to put the AMG badge on there.

 

^IMO the badge is just a badge... If I had an C36 AMG i would debadge it instantly... just to see the face of the Mach1 Stang strait outa the lot get spanked. And if you have amg 'styling' the you can go on and put the badge on but ull get spanked by that stang and other MB drivers will know that its not a 'REAL' amg... Ill just get an engine swap with an AMG engine and put the badge on just to be a smarta**

CE EXO may have also provided a real service in discovering how to uncover dyno mode in a W204.

Baron thank you for your nice words but i really dont care there are three or four kids of dady car owners that the only thing they care is the show off .
They have nothing to do with car enthusiasm,or enjoy their ride,or driving it a way to discover something more than just cruising in a straight line with their rims shining.
If you see the first title is regarding deactivating the esp in w204.
Because they didnt know how to do it they just started to yell in anyway they can and for anything they can think off like little sissys.
And regarding my "small" C200 AMG!!! you are most welcome with your originals to come and get me to any of my drifting afternoons,just bring your parasutes with you because you are going to fly after the first cliff.

they don't but they do make a C200 with AMG kit which comes with an AMG badge on the boot, nodiffedrent from having a msport 3 series, it's not an M3 but it's still a msport car.

 

That's true they are not but they do come with an AMG badge on the boot from the factory, what you get in the US and what you get elsewhere is different.

they have m sport and amg pkg cars all around the world so I don't know why you guys get so bent out of shape?

Why don't you guys look at your amg closely...what's so awesome about a 5.4L SOHC producing 68hp/L (non-S/C)? Look at other high end tuners...they're already at the 100hp/L mark and 73 ft-lb/L level.

 

I don't know if I should tell my neighbor's 4 yr-old son to debage his little toy AMG MB....he drove by a few days ago and I saw an AMG badge on it..

But I couldn't figure out how to open his hood and check inside, there is no latches to the hood... ... plus his dad is 6'5"..

I think I'll let this one pass..
