Thinking of Removing the C300 and 4MATIC symbols from the car.

i also agree with the above comments, do it only if it makes you feel that it makes the car look better, don't do it just because it's a c300

I almost settled for the C 350, but I like a manual transmission. Even my girlfriend made fun of me for almost buying an automatic. Early in the year I came close to purchasing a 335i coupe, eventhough I am not crazy about the styling. When I saw the new C, it was like I got slugged in the gut.
I didn't really think of the C 300 as being the cheap Benz. For me, it is the only one that comes with a manual transmission.

It isn't even the cheapest Mercedes when you think about it.
There actually is an A Class. You just don't see too many of them on the road as they are sold in the US (or at least not marketed).
Debadge your car if you like the look of it. When I pull up to a C300 while in my C350 I feel a bit of superiority for about 1/2 of a second. Then I nod at the guy and say "nice car".

That is funny maybe an old Mercedes C Class. I guess I do not see the point with taken the model off. However, it's your car do what ever you want with your car. However, I tend to laugh when I see a debadged car.

You don't have badge delete as an option in the US? The cars you most often see debadged in Europe are Mercedes and BMW's, for some reason most other makes come with badges and people don't remove them.

Why do you remove it ? I did ordering mine I told my selller ; Could you please remove rear things ! I thought it is cool after that face my car people 9/10 said why did you remove that ? it is so space rear side ! than I replaced again (costs 100 USD)

LOADED 08' C350 & 14' GLK-350 Diamond White (P1, MM, AMG Pkg, Ln Trkng, Htd Sts, Keylss Go)
Yeah at first I thought why, but the idea has been growing on me. Personally I like the clean look, it's different. And the 'mystery' of it would be a bonus.
Although maybe in a C Class people might think that they removed it so they don't think it's a the 'C'heap Benz...

i took the badges off my black C350 today and it looks cleaner to me.
had the dealership do it and it took less then 2 minutes.
they had some tool and popped them off easy. no marks, no goo.
in germany many cars come with no badges and for me i like to think about how the car was originally thought of on the drawing board.

This thread is starting to get annoying...the snob comments are rediculous. Most Mercedes sold in Europe have no badges, I'm surprised that more people don't want the "authentic" Euro look like they do with many other areas of the car.

I'm getting a C300 Sport, and I'm removing all my emblems.
I'm removing all of them though, including the 3-point star in the center of the trunk. I'm also currently looking for a grill that does not have the star in the center. I'm gonna try to remove all traces of the M-B marque on the car, save for the wheels (AMG 18") and the steering wheel. Lastly, I'm searching for a suitable manufacturer that will make custom emblems for me to replace the flat hood emblem and the trunk 3-point star.
The end product, I hope, will be confusing ("What car is that?") to all except those who know.
The point is, it's your car, you paid (are paying) for it. Who cares? Do what you like, as long as you enjoy it.

if you lived in the northeast, it would be the other way around. (almost all c300 sold here are 4matic) and imagine if it was during the winter.

Very true. Up here, the C300 4Matic owner can feel his superiority for 1/2 a second as he flys by the C350 stuck in snow on the side of the road lol.

Absolutely
To me, debadging the amg is even better. Or an M, or an SPG, or a Hammer, or whatever tuner for whatever car. First, it has the same clean look but usually better since tuned cars usually have better lines. Cecond, it lures suckers into a fight. Third, and to me best, it shows you're really a person of class and taste that would try to hide his prosperity. I dunno, but I was reared to believe conspicuous consumption was a bad thing and that people who flaunted wealth were usually the nouveau riche while those who were genuinely wealthy had more class, taste or finesse than to flaunt it.
then again, maybe I'm wrong.

definitely remove if you have the c300
anybody with c350 should keep it on there, because it makes it look like you just didnt barely squeak into the MB family with the bottom of the line model...
i must say though, c300 looks way more legit than a c230 badge on your car... for how similar they are in power...
considering how many c230's you see out there.. everybody thinks you stepped up to the bigger badder model when they see the c300 badge, even though it is truly bottom of the line for 08', in the US at least...
