Chrome door handle
I have observed a very interesting feature that I like to verify. Over the few times browsing around dealership to look at the new C class, I have noticed that some but not all C class have a chrome finish over the top of the door handles. This is not the chrome insert option. It seems to be present only on those C class with metallic paint, irrespective of whether they are C300 or C350. I haven't taken delivery of my car yet. I have ordered Obsidian Black, which I hope will come with the chrome-top handles. It would look sharp with a dark color finish in contrast. For those of you who have already taken delivery of your metallic C class, would you share your observation with us?

I did have a look at my C300W4M that was getting prepped for me and it was black with chrome handles. And yes it did have the metallic paint. I did not even notice that the handles usually came with metallic paint. 
Yea it does look good tho, does the keyless go still work with the chrome handles? Does anyone who has keyless go here have the chrome handles?

This strip seems to be reserved for everywhere else the C is sold other than the US! I think it may be another cost-cutting measure - like the black antennas on every color car but silver! I must say, the strip does add a touch of sophistication to the car! I installed the chrome cavities on my US C350...

2008 R350 & 2008 C300
When the redesigned ML350 came out in 05 as an 06, it was offered for a few years with solid door pulls as well. Now they have the chrome inserts across the whole line, I'm guessing thats what will happen here. A few years after the new model sets in and they will spruce it up with some minor improvements, just enough to make previous owners about to purchase a new vehicle take another look. MB almost has a set pattern with these things, but they through a monkey wrench in every now and then to keep these forums going ha ha.

Now I am confused! I had the opportunity of going back to the dealership and did notice that there was a C with silver metallic paint but no chrome trim on the door handles.
