1st Benz....couple ???

my car will be here at the end of april and I let my mechanic know what care i will be getting and that i will bring it in right away to have it lowered and he said he would not work on it, not even do an oil change. He had no problem working on my volvo so is there something with mercedes that makes it hard to work on?

Thanks

welcome to German engineering. i had the same problems as you bro, many people could get their Imports done so much easier. i tried to lower my car also, and a lot of shops kept telling me that ist is much harder to do, or that htey would need different tools. oil changes aren't even easy anymore!

Any AMG Thats Around..
springs are no harder in a C class then in any other car..... they probably dont know the cars as well as some other makes.. and usually the liability of working on an expensive car such as a MB scares alot of mechanics..... not me tho... its all just nuts and bolts when you get down to it...

I went to a place to get my Volvo 850 oil changed (the first one. I had just bought the car), because I didn't have time to go to my regular mechanic. The employee said "we don't do oil changes on those." I thought maybe there was a large belly pan with a bunch of screws under the car like the one on my Passat. There wasn't. The Volvo is actually one of the easiest. My point is, I think some places are just afraid because of the liability and afraid of the unfamiliar. No matter how straightforward a task may be.
