I would imagine so. Good to know that you have a deeper exhaust sound after the mod; am just wondering why though.

I know i will loose some power by loosing some back pressure. I have plans for this For now, its just for looks

btw, micro that looks great. So you just used stock mufflers and changed the tips? anyhow, I think the tips are sticking out a little bit farther out, but it seems fine.

Micropower I also think the tips are sticking a little bit out, on the C63 you barley can see the AMG letters on the tips, but let me tell you it looks real good, and also I like the quality of welding very clean

I really like the looks of this diffuser/exhaust on these cars.
Micro- I checked the C63 pic posts and it appears the tips stick out kinda far on those too. The only thing I noticed is the spacing between tips. The C63 tips look like they are very close to each other.

I'm slowly agreeing. The standard dual tips seemed fine to me at first but the more I look the more the quad exhaust seems to fit this body style better.

The quad exhaust has nothing to do with pretending to be a C63 IMO. We are only talking exhaust tips here. The C63 diffuser just happens to have the cutouts for the dual tips so what else can we do.

Yea. Its the stock muffler but a custom y pipe to connect the muffler to the tips. The pipe is bigger then the stock outlet of the muffler thats why I hear a minor increase in growl.

Here in the middle east the AMG badges aren't limited to cars with an AMG powerplant. Any AMG bodykit styling or even interior styling gets you a badge without the dealer even asking. To be fair though, I don't really understand what all the poser talk is on about - you can spot an AMG a mile away and it has nothing to do with the badges on the back. Can you tell an AMG from a non if its debadged? Of course you can! If you can't distinguish the sound of a stock merc engine from an AMG, being labeled a poser really doesn't mean that much.

X pipe problem

I ordered the Magnaflow X pipe But when i took it to the local exhaust shop, the 2.25" is not long enough to connect the pipes after having the resonator removed. The guy said i need special piping, possibly the whole exhaust system. How did you people with X mod solve that problem? Any information on the matter would be greatly appreciated. PM or IM me

DONT order that diffuser, you will regret it. It has metal tabs instead of OEM clips and you HAVE TO REMOVE the bumper to install it. I know from experience doing the install for another member here. They are on ebay cheaper anyway, the little bit of money you save isnt worth the headache, go for a real deal one

There's nothing wrong with your diff. idea, tron, sounds awesome. Listen to what others say about the badging, though - they're spot on. Don't label it an AMG or stick a c63 badge on it because they WILL make fun of you. Diffusers are not exclusive to mercs of any make. Practically every car made now has them. Make yours your own and do whatever you want to it it will look great and you'l be glad you did it. I bet if you wait long enough someone will make an 2012 amg front for your car. Have you seen that yet - looks great. Good luck...

It is not only Middle East DEALERS, but U.S. DEALERS used the AMG badge a LOT on the last runs of the E350/500 and CLK350/500 when you bought the appearance package. I am unclear as to what MBUSA's stance is on it.

The only AMG badge that matters is the one under the hood. (Lol, not sure if there is one, but whatever)

That said, false 6.3 or 55 badges are really really really lame.

It is like wearing a t-shirt that says I AM SUPER HUNG when you really are packing no heat at all and you have no pants on. Everyone knows what the deal is.
