Is the W204 220 CDI released in the USA?
Is the W204 C Class 220 CDI model released in the USA/Canada?. It has the 2148cc diesel engine, of 125KW & 400Nm of torque with combined fuel consumption of 6.7 l/ 100 km ( 42 miles per English gallon )
I ask because there may be a workshop manual printed as I believe it is law for any car sold in the US to have one available.
I wish to do my own servicing.

Thank you Manchester Merc,I was assured by the MB dealers workshop manager before purchase that as long as I can prove that I have done the servicing ie photos & reciepts for oil & filters , I can service the vehicle & keep my warranty Being of Scots descent & having always done my own servicing , I could not come at $400 + to change the oil & filter.My cost for 6.5 litres of Mobil 1 ESP5w30 = $65 + oil filter $25.
I hope you are enjoying your 220 CDI as much as I am.Achieved 5.6l /100km on a 60km run yesrterday!

Regarding the servicing of your car I don't know what MB are like in Australia but we need to have dealers do the servicing to keep up the 30 year warranty.
MPG's or ltr/100km if you achieved 52 mpg that is excellent.

Our warranty in Australia is only 3 years /unlimited kms.
I will be changing the oil every 10,000 km to ensure a trouble free long life.
I am not too concerned with resale value because of the lack of MB servicing stamps as we keep our cars for about 15 years. They are then passed on to the children !! The car that the 220CDI replaced was a 1994 405 Peugeot diesel with 250,000 km & in perfect condition which went to our daughter.We have just sold the previous car to the 405 , a 1979 Peugeot 504 with 450,000 km on the clock for $1000. It has not ever had its cyl head removed & was still running well.It will be cut up , put into a container & shipped to Egypt for spares!!
On a 38km trip into town today the 220CDI achieved 5.2 km /100 litres(54 mpg). With the A/C on & stop /go driving in town the overall trip ( 82Km)consumption was 5.9 ( 47.7mpg) We have a auto so a manual should do better.
It must be frustrating not to be able to drive your new purchase . Anyway you will be able to become very familiar with it in the driveway!!
My father was born near Manchester, in Lyme Hall Estate, Disley nr. Macclesfield .

I suppose if you are not bothered about the warranty then doing the servicing yourself is a good way to keep the cost's down, but I would ask your dealer to confirm in writing that your 3 year warranty won't be affected.
I have Auto but over here if the police saw me driving with one hand I would be prosecuted for not being in full control of vehicle .
Did you try the ebay seller???.

Hello Manchester Merc,
I have not yet received a reply from the Ebay seller on when the workshop manual for the W204 220CDI will be available. His site shows that the manual includes 2006 only which would be W203.I will keep you posted.
