Hi, anyone have a quick fix for those squeeky side mirrors? I thought the cold winter weather was part of the cause, but now with the warmer temperatures, its still making noise.

Hey, I have that same problem. Mine mainly squeeks after it's wet and sits overnight, then it only squeeks for like 2 seconds when the mirrors are unforlding (after unlocking the car). I tryed remaking that squeek at the dealer so the service rep can hear but it didnt work so they didn't fix it.

It figures that I just read this post the other day and when I was just walking away from my car and locking the doors, I heard this loud squeek. Sure enough it was the left side mirror folding in. I'm taking my car in for it's first maintenance in 2 weeks and will have them take a look at it then.

The dealer may need to lube the moving parts, I get that on passenger side or the driver sides, its getting annoying.

I will have the dealer check it out too when I my car is in for maintenance as well soon.

I have on both sides now ... I disabled the folding as it's embarassing walking away from my new Benz and hearing it creaking ...

have to go to my dealer anyway, so we'll see ...

My salesguy said it had to do with the rubber seals and said I should take it in to have it serviced.

Am I the only one on earth without this problem yet? These forums have me so nervous though. I love this feature, but I don't want to start hearing this. ha-ha.

i have this problem too. have it fixed at my dealership but the problem still persists.

i use to have this noise on the left side mirror, the noise disappear now.

after trying unsuccessfully to grease etc, the dealer had to replace my motors.

all's well with the world again ... man I love my car.

Man, I'm still having this problem. Not often but only when the car is wet or really cold. It's bugging the hell out of me because I took it to the dealer twice but they said they can't do anything about it if they can't reproduce the problem.

yeah I had that issue, it was only when it was cold etc ... they told me the same thing the first time, but over time it got worse (like 2 months later) then I deactivated it, becuase it was just embarassing!

"Thankfully" it was a consistent noise.

I suppose you just have to wait for it to get worse? I know it sounds bad, but everything is still under warranty, so wait it out, but I don't think it'll solve itself ... I just hope these new ones last longer than 7mths

it happens to me when its wet or cold also. since summer hit its gone away.

I haven't quite figured out the pattern of when it happens on mine, but it definitely does squeak, mostly when unfolding.

I brought in mine to the dealer for this. Thanfully it's a transient problem and dosen't happen much any more. Only really happened for two weeks. Best explanation I got was that it was just road dirt. Now I am sure I just wash them well when i wash the car. I've been good for several weeks now.
