C300 4matic or C350?

I think a C350 costs about the same as a C300 4Matic.

Which would you rather have? For the most part, I always hear AWD cars have slightly better performance than their identical RWD models.

Is the extra 40 horsies (1 second lower to 60) or the AWD make the car "better", if you had to choose.

Depends what you need it for. If you need the AWD for the extra traction i e lots of snow where you live then go for that personally I would have the extra horses.

ii got the c350 4 matic only because there is a lot of snow here in montreal, Canada.

If you dont have snow, then go for RWD

I'd be driving a c63 if it came in 4-matic !!

AWD is better if you have a sports car like a Lambo where it has so much torque it needs to split some from front to back so you don't just roast the tires, in the case of the C300 its a henderence. The added weight of the 4matic system the automatic transmission and combined with the low torque and horsepower results in adding nearly 3 seconds extra to that of the C350. The difference would be less if you were to get a C350 4matic, but that model isn't currently offered in the United States. So to answer your question, if you want to get 4matic for performance reasons then the answer is no, if you want it for safety reasons in winter weather the answer is yes. There are also quite a few differences between the C300 Sport, C300 Luxury and C350 that I could go on and on about, but there is another thread or two here about that do a board search, hope that helps.

Hi ismeto. More than satisfied with 220 CDI alright not as high BHP but 400 nm of torque for mid range pulling power.
Yes diesel is a bit noisier than petrol but not so noticable when on the move.
Can't see 200 bhp coming to soon as the upgrade from 150-170 is not that old.

Could have the 220 CDI chipped if I wanted more power, that would take it to 205 BHP and 450 nm of torque
