Possible problem with interior lamps and radio...

The lights come on when I am driving but doesn't seem to work when parked (engine off and no key). I don't know if this is normal but I recall the first night I got my car, they worked without the key and engine off. The power instrument cluster lights up, and the power seats work but none of the interior lights (reading and door entry) work (front and back). Right when you open the door and get into the car, it works for a second and then they automatically shut off? Anyone have any idea what's going on?

Any answers here before I go to the dealer?

I've read the manual and did a search already. Didn't really come up with anything unless I missed something.

Thanks. I read that last night and didn't really understand whether the interior lighting was reffering to the reading lamps or the ambient lighting. I just figured it out. Thanks again.

yea...the manual is pretty damn confusing. we are often left with just trying things out and hoping it works the way we expect it to work lol

How it feels when everywhere you read it says "Canada Only"...

It is one thing if you don't have a feature. It is another when the manual keeps reminding your neighbours have all these neat cool features... it is surreal.

I read the manual too and i have a problem with the trunk light. I will open my trunk and the light stays on for like 10 seconds only. The manual says its supposed to be on for 10 minutes, on page 116. can anyone help?

Tell me how you have your headlight switch set, and I may be able to answer your question - FYI, my switch is set to "O", and the trunk light stays on. When I set it to "A", the light went off after 10 seconds, or thereabouts if I recall correctly. Check it out, anyway....
