Mine broke earlier today when the car in front of me in the next lane over ran over a piece of truck tire on the highway and kicked it towards my car.
This is the second time my lower grill broke!!!
I will now seriously get a metal mesh grill (not the gaudy chrome one) to go over this very brittle piece of plastic.

I have been through 3 lower grills already. I am looking for a metal aftermarket piece that is decent looking and under $500, as replacing each stock grill costs $250.
Unfortunatly the same plastic mesh is used on the new E-class.

My bottom grill has a hole too from a rock hitting it on the highway but im just going to leave it as it is cause I don't feel like taking the bumper off. If I decide to change it with my luck I know something will happen to it again.
