I have the 2008 C 350 sport. Irridium Silver Metalic,Multimedia Package,iPod,18" AMG wheels

My c350 dvd player

This morning i was cleaning my dvd nav system,i was watching a dvd, so i remove the key from the ignition, close it down, i accidentally hit the nav on button, and the dvd continued to play without the key in the ignition, my question is, is that normal, because i was watching a movie without a key in the ignition,

Try it and let me know.

This has been discussed. The radio will play for 30 minutes without a key, which includes DVD player.

That is normal. MB radios have always been able to be turned on without the key. On the new 204 though it has controls that will not let the battery go dead. This feature is on a couple other models 221 and so on. Basically if you have the command running and battery voltage gets low there will be a warning that shows saying start engine or command will shut down. This works for everything in the car. So ideally your battery will always have enough power to start the car.
