they are designed to filter out the nasty gases created by the engine so that we dont pollute the air as much. if we didnt have them like back in the 60's cars would be loud and smelly

Cool

i installed an xpipe and removed the mufflers when i fix my car from the horrific hitting the ladder crash that accured this week i will do a drive by video, but it sounds great and NO it dose not void the warranty i checked with MB mechanics they told me as you all said as long as you dont touch your cats your all good!!
