What made you think that they are

opening up a shop in North America? I didn't see anything about that. I tried contacting them about their suspension kits for the W204 2 months ago and didn't get any responses.

yea seriously. MKB seems to have more parts w/ part numbers ready to go than any other tuning company rite now. They have full suspension and sway bar pictures. I wonder if they are just sample photos though? Either way I'm up for some handling parts for the W204. Speed parts still seem like a waste of money 2 me. Especially for the 300 anyway.

Hey guys got an email today from MKB "Thank you for your inquiry into our MKB products for your W204. I can provide you a price for the carbon fiber air-box, but I will need to hunt down a picture. The price including shipping will be about $2574.

We are preparing to open our North American office in June, but we are already handling inquires." So there you have it get prepared

hey guys this is the email i sent MBK North America--www.mkb-power-na.com-- i have been in contact with him and a ecu upgarde will be $2387 will put us at 265hp

"Sir I was trying to acquire some prices, Myself and members of MBworld.org are wondering what's available and trying to make contact with companies that have products for the w204 C300/350 models. One problem we are having is when we visit the website of most companies there aren't any pictures of the products they advertise, Price list or Current Specifics for that product. I personally would like info on the carbon air box (specs, hp increase/decrease, price), Ecu upgrade which you have answered already, exhaust (specs, hp increase/decrease, price), Interior Steering wheel w/ paddles. This are just some of the items I would like to purchase in the near future, and what has been inquired about. Thanks for your time."

Dan @ MKB told me that the chip tune upgrade would not be visible to the star diagnostic computer making it much more worthwhile to me as the warranty wouldn't be voided. Also, it is a 3 day process, 1 do send it out, one to flash, and one to get it back. So your car is out of commission for 3 days, assuming you have your E.C.U. re-installed the day you get it back.

You guys are nuts if you believe any ECU tune on these cars won't void the warranty. Don't get me wrong. I'm gonna do mine (for far less than that, jeez), but it is something that MAY cause a concern if it gets in the wrong hands. By the way, for those of you that do it, the first key is taking it out and replacing it without tearing the seals. I love mods, but be realistic with yourselves.

Thats pretty sweet that it can make the C300 go from 228hp to abouts 265 or so. But the downside is that it'll take 3 days. How hard is it to take the ECU out? Where is it located?

$2300 is crazy steep for an ECU tune in my mind, but that's is a hella HP boost for an ECU tune too. ~37HP?!

They claim the same gain for the C350, from 268 to 306. 330HP if you do cams, manifolds, intake & exhaust! That's gonna be a spendy one! I wonder if they are measuring that at the crank, sounds high but what do I know....

Sounds interesting... Powerchip only reports a +17HP gain (at the wheels).

I still think that there is NO point in trying to make the C300 faster. The MKB air box is $2040 and the steering wheel is $3095. He basically told me the airbox does little to nothing in the way of making hp which I expected, but at least it is pretty to look at.

I would rather save up more for the later modifications to come out.

I am sure that there will be some twinturbo or supercharger kit available at a reasonable price. We are in the beginning era of W204, I don't expect these companies to come out with major HP adders already. NA mods are just bleh unless the engines had some sort of emission limitation from the factory.

In the end, its all about forced induction!!! Snails make me happy

you really think @ any point in the W204 time line we will see a reasonably priced turbo or supercharger kit? With all due respect, I think your out of your mind. There is NOTHING especially performance oriented by any company that comes close to reasonable when it comes to pricing. a kit may be able to be fabricated for cheaper than most of the companies that may end up producing a package for. I really just don't see it, maybe WAAY down the road but idk. Are there reasonably priced turbo/supercharger kits for the W203 C Class??

wow...that's crazy expensive for an ECU flash. I'm getting mine done for like 20% of that price...quality work from all reports too.

Good point! The W203 cars don't seem to have much for aftermarket and from what I read even the kompressor models don't have much in the way of a s/c pulley for more boost.

The reality is a few guys showing interest on a forum doesn't mean there is enough interest overall to justify the R&D costs. These car are expensive and much more complex to modify than Japanese 4 cylinders and not enough interest compared to American V-8's for any company to want to make parts and make money to do it.

The fact is every model of Mercedes now has an AMG variant so why not save up and buy one of those used after a year or two. You'll have way more power and a quality hand built motor.
