HELP: Sunroof Stutter
Hey guys,
I have a 2008 C300 4matic and my standard sunroof stutters when it closes. It will open smoothly, but when I hold down the switch to close it, it will go in repetitive, short bursts (it stutters).
Seeing as I don't use my sunroof very often, I don't remember if it was always like this. I'm guessing it wasn't because I would have noticed and been concerned.
So my question is do I have a problem? If so, how do I fix it?

You just have to have the moon roof "relearned"! Thats what my dealer told me. It is a saftey feature when some sticks something such as a hand or something when the roof is closing. Takes the dealer a few minutes to take care of.

I had this problem from new, the dealer tried to "relearn" it twice, they tried to "fix it" once and then admitted defeat and ordered a new unit from Germany, Germany then sent the wrong color first time, finally about 8 weeks after I first received the car they finally fixed it. Everything was great until yesterday, when it started the same bull**** again. I'm pissed !!!!!!!!!

On my serve ticket they said " retaught open and close programming, temporary fix, new software to be available in the future" It's a glitch in the software.....

I took it in yesterday and they hooked it up to the laptop and fixed it again. The service writer acknowledged that a software fix is forthcoming from MB soon, initially she wasn't aware of it, as I asked, but when she brought my car back she had asked the mechanic and he had told her that was correct.
She initially tried to resync it by opening and closing sunroof, that didn't work.

Well, I remember reading this a couple weeks ago and now mine is doing it too. Anyone know the deal as to when they will correct this issue with the software? Into the shop I go tomorrow.
