not getting the car...will be at dealer soon

I ordered and 300c sport 6mt with everything except leather. I was to have it a over a month ago and it keeps getting pushed back. It is now to arrive june 12th. It is iridium silver with black int. I have decided to switch over to a nissan altima. I am in the mortgage business and things have really slowed down and not to mention the wife is due with our first child june 16th. I had a 2002 atlima 3.5 before and the car was nice. Has a ton of room in it and decent power 270hp, so I figured it would hold a baby seat a little easier. Plus they have some awesome lease deals right now. Can get a 3.5 fully loaded for 373.00 with 1300 down. They money factor right now is .00097 where mercedes is .00295. Let me know if anyone is looking and I can hook you up with my dealer. I am guessing that I will lose my 500.00 that I put down but oh well.

Thanks

congrats on the kid, but sorry to hear ur not going ahead with the benz.
where are you located? might help with ppl looking for a C.

As far as the $500, talk to your sales guy see what they can do, When i put down a deposit on an "order" form it didnt say anywhere "no refunds", so you probably can get it back.

I am from PA.....I am going to speak with him today....if they would offer me the same .00097 It would actually make the payment more comfortable. Thanks on the congrats. Wife is going to be off work for a while and just want to make sure we are good. Payment on benz is 580 and altima 380 so the 200 differnce is what i can use for gas. I have a 99 wrangler that I have had since it was new and I use in the winter and nice days in the summer but it has 150,000 mile on it so I can rely on that getting me around or I would go with no car payment at all.

Congratulations on the baby, first off. I'm glad there are still sensible and responsible people in this world who put family first. You are making the right decision.

That is not to say, however, that the new Altima is a bad car. In fact, I think it's an AWESOME car. I bought (and still have) an 02 White Altima 3.5 SE, and it's a great car. Lots of room and plenty of power. The new Altima 3.5s are much more powerful, with 30 more HPs, and it looks far, far, faaaaaaaaaaar better. Much more aggressive looking. It's a stunner.

M-B will always be around, and they'll always make better cars for you to buy once this housing/financial/war/economic/mortgage problems subside.

You should still hang around MBWorld though.

Oh, and as far as I know, a deposit is fully refundable. I made sure of this fact when I put down the deposit before ordering at my dealership in California. I hope the same is true for you and your dealership. Good luck!

yeah, get your deposit back, it's 100% refundable in CA, it might be the same at your state.

+1 on the congrats with the new child!

Deposits are tricky, the dealer does in fact have a binding contract with you when you put down the deposit and doesn't have to refund it if they don't feel like it. But thats just bad business on their part and in most cases they will refund your deposit. Only thing I see going against you is that you ordered a six speed manual which is traditionally a hard car to move on lots, thats why they ask for a deposit. Either way your only taking a $500 hit that will eventually save you money in the long run by not taking the car.
