Euro lock pins
I just called my dealer and ordered the Euro spec lock pins (the shorter flush ones). $21 for set of 4 He said he could order some AMG pins (from C63) but I don't know if I want AMG stuff all over. I'll try these first. Parts shoud be here Sat or Mon. I'll post pics when I get them.

Ok I found the euro Locking Knob part number for the front doors:
A 123 766 00 22
The North American locking knobs part number are: (front doors)
A 000 766 00 28
Are they suppose to be black or chrome? By the way the locking knobs (pins) have the same part numbers on the C63 as they do for the C300 and C350 (in the database)
Regards,
Daniel

The part # I had was close but different (123 766 0022 9051). Not the typical part #. The rear pins are actually attached to the locking cable and are not supposed to be removed. That's why it takes the dealership 2 hrs to replace. When they come off they crack at the bottom. They are like a ball/socket attachment. Once you pull out the ball- the socket breaks. Fortunately one of mine broke so I could see. I will post pics as soon as I get them (Sat or Mon)

They are the same type of pins. The only difference is that when the doors are locked they flush with the panel and when unlocked they are at the height of the US locked position. I have posted pictures of the difference before. In terms of design they are exactly the same.

Here's a dumb question. People have said that the rear is ball-in-socket type and the only way for it to pop out is if the socket part cracked. Given that (picturing in my head), would not popping a new one in also crack the socket on the new pin? I really really want to replace that cheap *** looking pin, but want to do it right.

The rear are ball and socket ones which are very very flimsy. You can pull it off without ever noticing it. It's easy to replace those but also, its very easy to lose those again.
The front ones are not the same. Unless there is a trick involved in removing them, door interior panels are needed to remove.

I only gave you guys the part number for the front pins because the back pins it is connected to the hose and technically there is no "part #" for the rear pins but for the hose and pins together.
AkaSigFreak, how come the part number you had was so long? There can be a maximum of only 10 numbers but yours has 14 lol. I'm going to check with the dealer this weekend to order the euro pins tho (not the amg as the amg uses the same euro pins).

My # did not have the "A" in front. That is the part # my source in England gave me. We I called the dealership they had no problem with it. I am going to try to replace my rear broken pin with the euro spec. If that doesn't work I will try to convince my dealer to replace with full euro rear part since they already have to warranty one.

I like it all, except getting my arm pinched when the pin goes to lock. DAMN, that hurt!!

Just picked up the parts. I am much happier now
I replaced the fronts but the rear are different (of course) so I guess I'll order the european rear pins now.
