I just finished installing the black bird's eye maple Schatz shift knob.
The wood matches the interior wood trim perfectly.
The flash photo highlights the grain of both the shift knob and the trim on the console.![thumbs](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/thumbsup.gif)
Enjoy.

I have an extra shift knob in case anyone in Vancouver would like to have one; just PM or email me.

Thanks for the compliment qlaval. Installation is pretty straightforward.
I did check with my buddy at the stealership on how to remove the boot from the console because I didn't want to risk scratching anything; which is simply prying it off from one side with both hands. The boot is held by a frame that snaps on/off from the console.
Once you have the boot off, just twist the knurled knob below counter- clockwise. You should be able to pull off the OEM knob from the stick shift at this time.
The rest is simply reversing the precedure.

That's a very nice shift knob and matches the interior wonderfully. I have been looking for one to replace the OEM aluminum knob because it just sounds so hollow. I want something with a solid feel to grab onto.
Did you have any problems ordering from the US? Any customs, taxes?

Does anyone know if that will fit on a C300 manual transmission?
I have thought about replacing the shift knob for some time, but I am unsure as how to do it and unsure of compatible knobs.

BTW, just a reminder that anyone in the Greater Vancouver Area that may want a Schaetz shift knob in black birdseye maple, contact me.
I have a spare one that is immediately available and will see for cost + shipping only.

I believe so. You can confirm this with Jerry at ForMyMercedes.com.
Installation in quite simple really. If you have any questions, pm or email me.
