i had the same thing happen to me , but it was from my fat @ss cat sleeping on top of the car... when i saw him i yelled, "Ay!, get the fark off!", and he got all startled and ran down the windshield so fast he started sliding, and when he got to the hood, he still was sliding and his nails left aboout 15 hairline scratches....
good thing was , since my car was white, I could only see them if i looked in direct light at just the right angle... normally invisible since they were just on the clear coat and not in the paint... i didnt do anything and just left it as is...
i assume your car is dark colored though and stands out way more????

It is Steel Grey Metallic...they are only noticeable under the garage lights, and if you look really hard outside. I am going to get some Meguairs 09 and lightly apply...hopefully I will remove the most noticeable of the scratches.
I know he SLID the box onto the hood...I didn't notice how he got it off..but the scratches were all in the direction of him sliding it on.

wow i would be really mad. but i paid like 300 bucks for a 5 year coverage on all scratch and dents, so i wouldnt be that mad. but still, some people just dont get it when it comes to cars.
