You posted it so be prepared for the truth. It's horrible. Do yourself a favor and loose it. If you don't want the factory integration kit- tuck it into the glovebox and try something like this.

if you like it, thats all that counts. i'd prefer to put on a playlist and keep it in the glovebox but that's just me.

Make sure that air freshener doesn't leak onto you console or your dash. It will make it flake. I've seen happen before.

Dunno why you're getting crucified for that mod... I've seen it done on many luxury and non-luxury cars. It looks totally fine.

I just hope that you can hide the holder when you're away from your car since those things attract ******-n-grab thieves.

It looks a little cluttered don't you think? I have a couple of ways to remedy this if you choose. A.) You can get a Kuda holder which matches your dash interior color and is out of the way of your knee on the passenger side and genuinely looks like it could be a factory upgrade piece. Its $50 bucks or so. Picture is below. B.) To solve your problem with changing songs, I reveal to you, my secret weapon I use in my W215, the I-Jet. This thing is great. Its a remote shaped like an ipod that has a small lcd screen that syncs up to your ipod via bluetooth and you can scroll thru text listings of your songs and playlist and control it all while its either in the kuda holder or just tucked away in your glove box. Thats how I use it hooked up to the aux in the glove because 03 CL's didn't have IPod thru MB yet. I never have to touch it in there, the remote stays in the ash tray or side of the door. Think about it....

looks kinda cheesey with all the wires, not really a "mod" more like a plug and play add-on. That black disc thing looks kind of weird!

It's cool. It looks better than lot of people's setups!

I'm still trying to find the best solution for myself.

That kuda and ijet looks nice too.

I'd recommand getting one of these cables:

http://www.crutchfield.com/App/Produ...ble&i=113IP200

You can eliminate one of the wires running from the iPod headphone jack to the AUX in the glove box.

I am also using this to help reduce the ground loop noise (it was pretty bad):

I think it looks cool. Kinda like a command station of some sort. Don't like the cables everywhere, though.

the iJet looks like a good alternative too. Is the iJet wired, wireless/rechargeable, or with batteries? Looks like there are many different models with different functions and prices, but can't tell.

I was considering that ijet before having my current set-up..A lot of negative reviews on that ijet ..it will hung up and freeze and the LCD screen looks cheap..and its battery operated..and not practical for me.. well i can remove the car charger anytime..to hide the wires in there..make it look less mesy in the drivers side..
