Ooooooooooh... Barolo Red AND 6 speed! Is that auto or manual? If it is 6MT, eek: I your car. Super rare.

Try reading post #8 by Azn-C300. Think it's a good plan... good enough for me to buy yet another set of caps.

The manuals are 6 speed. The autos are 7 speed. My dealer told me that between tranny, color, and options; this may be the first car of this set-up in the country. But I doubt it.

I did have a "good" set and a "cheap" set of caps. I forgot to take off the good caps after a return from a trip. They were gone in less than 24 hours.

I know... 6MT is rare to begin with, but a 6MT with Barolo Red? Never.

I thought M-B offered 6MT, 6AT, and 7-G AT? No?

Mine was gone in 3 hrs. I went to LA, went out with friends, came back to the car, and they were gone. Very nice.

If and when I do get another set of nice caps, I plan on putting them on only when I can maintain full view of the car. Meets etc.

Just checked the MBUSA website. All the automatics for the C Class are seven speed. If my feeble brain remembers correctly, the 7 speed automatic might have been an option on the prior generation C Class.

The W204 has always only had the 6MT and 7AT transmissions.

The W203 had the option of a 6MT and 5AT up until 2005. The 2006+ W203 models had 6MT or 7AT.
