Hi

I called my dealer asking the price for the roof spoiler. They quoted me $550 for an unpainted piece!!!!! what a rip off!!!
Does anyone know where I can get a replica out there for 1/3 or half the price? I know you can get a trunk spoiler for around $130 now.
Thank you all for the tips in advance.

they told me it's only if you added that on during your "initial" purchase of the vehicle. I think that's BULL Sxxt.......
someone's gotta be making replicas out there.

Hey Everyone

I found someone that's gonna make the roof spoiler. He will have the FRP and Carbon Fiber available. He told me that it should take about 1 month. Anyone interested, shoot me a PM, maybe we can do a group buy and get some kind of discount from this guy. By the way, this guy is already selling the trunk spoiler on Ebay with positive feedback. So i assume the quality should be ok.

Hi Guys

I talked to a maker/seller in Taiwan who is making the ROOF Spoiler. They are in the final stage of finishing the sample. They should have parts ready to ship in a 2 weeks.
The price for PU spoiler painted and shipped will be around $200. I don't know if they are making a CF one, but I can find out.

Is anyone interested in doing a group buy? let me know.

If color-matched painted to MBZ OEM colors, and if the design looks good... Or maybe the design is just an OEM replica? Then bleh.

I actually had the MB OEM roof spoiler and also saw the Lorinser one. they are very similiar in size and shape. It's just a piece of roof spoiler.

I am pretty sure the maker can match the OEM color as long as you can provide him your color code.

Regarding Carbon Fiber one. I will find out tonight from him if he is making one. If so, the pricing for that.

Actually, they later quoted me a new price of $340. With Tax and painting, it will be at least $500. I much rather wait for the replica and pay $200 for a painted one.

I talked to the manufacturer last night. He said he will have the PU roof spoiler in less than 2 weeks. I will post pictures once I get it.
He will also make Carbon Fiber Roof spoiler. it will take a bit longer and a little more expensive.
Its $199 for the PU one painted and shipped. So I can't imagine it being more than $250 for the CF one. But I will find this weekend what the exact price is. If we can get 5 or more people in the group by, we should be able to get 5% discount.
